This is the title of the NST June challenge I've written. I reckon we all need some ninja energy and superpowers :D.

    June:-
    15 nsds
    11 days at work
    30 lots of exercise
    30 lots of headspace
    4 swim
    4 dance
? sets of exam papers to mark
5 sets of reports to write
    2 nights in M'chester
    2 counselling
    1 visit to mum
    1 dance presentation
    1kids klub
    1 prizegiving
    1 school journey meeting
    1 school fair
    1 scout centre afternoon
    1 induction day
1 visit for lunch at posh school tbc
    1 budget to write
1 school trip to cafe rouge
1 French theatre company in to school
1 lot of marking to finish
1 other lot of marking to nearly finish

It's a month with no let-up really. And I'm not relishing it. Part of me would rather not go to see mum, as she has a dentist appt that morning and may not be in a happy frame of mind... However, if I don't go when planned, it'll be at least another 4 weeks before I can go again. So I'll stick to the original plan and try to use it as an oasis of calm. Or the eye of the storm :rotfl:....

Just peeked at my June schedule and my self-imposed deadline for the first lot of marking is 12 days earlier than the official one. That just plain daft! Though there ia a five day overlap with the next lot, so maybe I ain't quite so daft... Maybe...

Anyhoo, off to read a real live paper book for a bit and hope not to be up so early tomorrow.

That's an awful lot, apple! And I'm kind of horrified to read that you've done even a *rough* hour by hour plan for 8 whole days. Gulp ...

I was up a few times in the night, looking for things, but I can't now remember what they were or even what they looked like. At least they were all near the bed and didn't involve me walking around the house in my sleep!

Pinch, punch, first of the month. No returns x

The best laid plans of mice and men, eh?

My marking ground to a halt at 7.30 due to things out of my control. I'm now waiting on an email to get it going again, which may arrive today, or it may take until Tuesday...

So I did a workout (ZCUT KB#2, with my 8K KB) which was on the plan anyway.

And have decided to shift to my school marking and get on with that.

And I have been out the front in the sun with my trowel, kneeling down and getting out those pesky weeds and the sticky weed that's growing over from next door.

Now I'm off to make lunch - we have to be out by 12.30 for dance - and pack a bag full of marking to do while dd twirls and leaps.

Still no email apart form the automated reply.

Dd twirled and leapt and I got my marking done. Plus I caught up with an old friend, which was lovely.

I have watched far too much tennis and played far too much jewel pop. And I have had a lovely day!

Tomorrow is church - dh is on PA but will go in early on his own on the buses. And that is all! So maybe, just maybe, I will get cracking on my school reports...

Neighbours go away tomorrow for 10 days. Looking forward to the peace. (unless teenage son has parties...)

The hitch is still there...I had a reply but it helped not at all for one part and made things worse for another. Eek. So the ball is back in their court.

However, I was up before 6 again and was able to get lots of adding up, writing down, online tick boxes and number crunching done. And ZCUT KB #3 using my 12 k KB. 12 mins = 2 rounds and down to 50 quick feet. And then woke dd at 9am.

Off to mow the back before the weather changes.

We have a week of enriching activities ahead at work...

Tomorrow, I'm taking a bunch of y9 pupils to Cafe Rouge for breakfast, and they have to speak French all morning.Think I'll be offering prizes for the best efforts.

And my afternoon is filled with conducting my y10 speaking tests, which will then have to be marked pretty soon afterwards. Boo.

Lunchtime may be a chance to look at the budget. Or eat lunch...

Cafe rouge was lovely. They treated us so well; I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on gf sourdough toast; the other teachers were chilled out and good company; the kids behaved and sorted out their food and payment; the weather was perfect for the walk there and back; the 3rd teacher with us took half the group at the end to do some d of e stuff, so we had a quiet colouring/drawing final 40mins with a dozen nice kids.

And in the afternoon, I recorded all my speaking tests and it was good to have time for a quick chat with each child too.

Yes, lunchtime was taken up with admin, budget outline, paris trip stuff... But it all needs to be done at some point.

And I'm going round in circles re visiting or not visiting mum on Friday (tho am almost definitely not going), as I have such a lot that needs doing, plus I'm away the week after from Mon eve - weds eve, so no sch work done there, and I need to set work for when away, and somehow mark y10 exams and write their reports. Gosh! I may even go into work on Friday just to collect their papers and get them done at the weekend...And taking another 36 hours out of my time just adds too much stomach-churning fretting...

If the hitch hadn't occurred, then the situation would be different. But the hitch did occur, and although it is being dealt with, it is still in the process of being sorted, rather than all sorted already. And that delays things. By three days so far...

Anyhow, I got home and did ZCUT #3 with my 8k KB, which took me 13m45. It felt good to do, but has been very hard on my thumb joints, which feel v tender.

Tomorrow is a day off. Phew. A chance to gather myself together and, hopefully, get stuff done for school. In between the sch run, counselling, a workout, and swimming!
