All the best for the new term A*M ... last stretch before the summer! x

    Thank you Hbbb!

This week is the calm before the storm, methinks! But only because I refuse to let the kiddies wind down too early!

The y7s, who I've been teaching Latin to, will all start French so that they can get a feel for it before September; the y9s who have opted for French will be starting the GCSE course in my lessons, whilst I simultaneously babysit the rest who should be getting on with Maths; y10s may attempt another Controlled Assessment; and then y12 return to start the A2 course.

It will stop me getting bored!!!

Anyhow, last night has shown me that I really need to use the daytime to get worky things done, including lunches and clothes and bags. Then I can be with dd without getting antsy.

By the way, she told me this morning that she got to sleep after me, and that I snore!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: A case of 'mater stertit' it would seem!

Anyhow, today I have done my invigilation and extra y11 study supervision. And I have been able to complete my y5 and 6 reports, do some photocopying for said groups, and tidy up my emails a little. Aren't I good! :D

It is 9.21pm and dd is asleep :j!

I had a lovely day at work, getting things done, feeling like I was achieving stuff. I also marked y10 writings and most of y8 Latin, which I'd earmarked to do on Weds whilst invigilating, but thought that it might be handy to do when I could, as you never know what'll happen 2 days from now!

Tomorrow's list is already at 16, and growing! Perhaps I'll rationalise it in the morning.

£4 goes in the pot today: 10k steps, 10+ veg (actually, it was 13!), NSD and no sugar. Go me :T!

    - coconut flapjack is made
    - soup is also made
    - washing up is done
    - school bag is tidied
    - i was weighed and measured this morning

    - dig out pensions bumf
    - pack up easy friend's bday present

All jobs done except ones involving 'tidy' and 'hoover' which are unfamiliar activities that I have no desire to befriend...

So, thoughts turn unwillingly to tomorrow...

Am pretty sure I am on 2 exam invig sessions. I know I have a class set of 1/2 a paper to mark, and think there'll be another one waiting for me tomorrow. So I can get on with that. Lots of red pen :D.

I've a small bag of bits for 'sewing up' should I have the time...!

And we've a talk - optional - about pensions at the end of the day. So dd will go to after school club and dh will probably be home first to get her.

What else could go on my list? Go for a walk at lunchtime, maybe.

Gosh, what an exciting day ahead. Bet I'll be regaling you with witty tales of the day's derring-do's by eveningtime... :rotfl:.

Papers all marked, averaged and meaned and filed away. No more marking til session 2 tomorrow now. Boo hoo!

Childcare fell through late last night, so a little manic this morning, but all ok. And have arranged to come in later tomorrow should it be nec.

Lunchtime walk may not happen as new boss is in and current boss is keen for her to meet us all and have a chat.

Told you I'd be full of wit today! Nowt else going on round here... so may come back later to tell you so.

Tilly Tidy of £1.20 to the mortgage!

Workout done - ZWOW 12, 10 mins of: 10 pistol squat + 20 low jack + 10 burpee with plank jack+ 20 low jack. Completed 2 rounds and 10 pistol squat. Ooph!

Up at normal time to workout, but got dd up late as thought I'd be taking her to school. Turns out next door's little one is better, and going in, so that's a relief. A little less headless chicken required.

a full day ahead, invigilating 2 sessions and teaching 1st lesson after lunch then scooting home to get the girls. It's the last Thurs I can do this - phew!

I say a full day, but I've no papers to mark til tomorrow, so I may have the novelty of boredom...

Yep, a busy and yet somehow still boring day has been had! I ended up cutting out shapes to use as sewing patterns, much to the amusement of year 10s, as I was clearly more entertaining than their maths paper!!

However I did re-write the departmental handbook, scan some stuff in, prepare work on Impressionism, so not all paper + scissors.

Dd has a very wobbly tooth that is really bothering her. Too attached for all her pulling to get out, yet too wobbly and different for her to suck her finger and get to sleep. If only she would let me use the pliers....

So, today I have exercised, eaten 14 or so veg, nabbed another NSD, kept off the sugar, and only need another 1000 steps to reach 10k - which may require staying up very late for if dd carries on like this - which all means £5 into the pot!

Gosh, where to start A*M? I guess with the most pressing question arising from my catch up ...

    * How on earth did you know your shopping weighed four stone? Visions of you jumping on scales with carrier bags to check when you got in!
    * Huge range of year groups at your place ... is it a private establishment perchance? Do you have to teach across key stages 2, 3 and 4?
    * How did meeting with new broom go? Mr Hbbb is bristling over his new broom already (boom, boom)

    Happy Friday!

    Hi Hbbb!

Yes, I brought the scales downstairs to weigh me + shopping. A tad abnormal behaviour, perchance, but I really wanted to know, as I knew it was a heavy load....

And yes, my sch is private, and goes from nursery to A level. Over the years I've been roped in to teach y5 and 6. Below that is a whole different species... At the mo I do ks 2, 3, 4, 5!

I didn't see the new broom much (oh dear, I now have a picture of her RIDING the broom in my head!). She is the spitting image of my dh's ex-wife, it's uncanny!!! But I'm hearing decent things about her and think she'll be fine!

So, it's Friday and exams are finished and nearly all marked. Then it's just the reports to write for the little darlings. But I'm not doing that this weekend!

Dd's class did their heat for their school talent show, and dd won it and is through to the final! :T Only 3 kiddies entered, but nevertheless, she won and is thrilled!

Her pesky tooth got pulled out this morning, so I need to arrange a visit from the Tooth Fairy tonight. Best not forget that...

    Off to put her down...
