Survived the pesky colleague. Long history - 10 years - and no improvement, so I just avoid as much as possible whilst trying to remember that said colleague is a human being with their own issues and needs and also needs some TLC at times.

Walked the first 2 miles to work today, which felt good. It was a day of catching up with people, so all good. But I'm not yet caught up on my admin - though I do have a list....

Dd was picked up by a lovely friend after school and then dropped home once I was back (dh was out from 6.10am - 7.10pm!)

Been pondering NI contributions. I don't know how much/many years I need to pay to get a full state pension (assuming they still exist when I get to that ripe old age...)Need to research... Esp as I've done more part-time work than full-time.

Ask the pensions department (DWP? - whatever they're called) for a pension forecast - you can do it online, from memory. As a parent of an U16 you get any shortfall in your contribs 'made up', I believe, for the years you have an U16 - so you may be surprised at the forecast (I am forecast full state pension, despite working part time/ not working/ being S-emp on virtually no pay/ working part time for the last 17 years :))

    Thank you greent.

EG - I can get my teacher pension at 60, but the state one is 67 at the mo...

Am thoroughly enjoying a day of rugby :D. Yesterday evening was to-ing and fro-ing with dd to a brownie event so I opted to record it and watch it this morning. There have been very few bouts of scrapping so far this year - much much nicer to watch.

Took a bagful to the Sally Army today. Things are s l o w l y leaving the house...

Fish pie for tea - bagged some reduced fish in the coop the other day, so had a go at making one. Just as well it was tasty as I made enough for 6 portions, and there's another pack of fish in the freezer!

Bunny slope workout number 6 all done. A 15 min AMRAP so the agony was quickly over. Just 2 more bunny slopes left and I'll have done all 20 of them this month. I am now looking at the ZCUT series which, although still short, are significantly harder. Gulp. I won't be able to do 20 of them in a month - they'll each leave me unable to walk properly for a day or two!

Dd is in her jamas and dressing gown on the sofa reading! Needless to say, we all opted out of going to church today.

I haven't done much with the extra 4-5 hours except 1 wash; paid some subs/fees; planned March's NST challenge; done a couple of paperwork bits for my classes; made vegan brownies; baked tatoes for lunch; made carrot/beet salad for work; played on my tablet...

But our expenses are in, so I'll bung them in the 'never to be touched' account that offsets the mortgage and was depleted by the non-happening Oz trip.

    2018 Plan 1: from 31/12 - 25/3 (12 weeks)

    Health:
-eat veg - rather random but tracking my carb intake is eye-opening
    -eat fish x2 per week - yep:D
-lose 15 lbs - nope:eek: seem to be going the other way...possibly due to too many carbs. Or simple gluttony:rotfl:
-gain muscle - I reckon I am stronger
-Feb: do all 20 bunny slope workouts - nearly there
-Feb: 310,000 steps (only 10k per day) - yep, even allowing for fewer days and half term immobility

    Wealth:
-sort out my giving to my chosen priorities - nope
-start to sell stuff from parental properties - nope
-pay off 350pcm from the mortgage, so approx 1050 in this plan - getting there
    - food spends of 300 pcm - might have managed that this month!
-get paperwork sorted to sell mum's house - ongoing

    A life well lived:
-headspace and counselling to continue - yep
-enjoy time with dd + dh - yep
-use up wool and fabric stashes - hardly at all in feb
-remove 2018items this year, so about 700 this plan - still only on about the amount that takes me to early jan!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-buy a joyous address book and fill it in (finding mum's has been so useful to us, as we are aware of names of her friends but no more than that. I don't want to leave others ithout that info for me) - still looking as have seen a few but htey are 'oh, they'll do' ones and not lovely joyous ones
-balance work, visits to mum, family time, fitness goals - seems to be working

    That'll do for now!

Feb. Saw mum just the once but it was a lovely time. Good to coincide with big sis and be away with dd and dh

The big elephant in the room is TWO elephants. Peasky twins. One is selling mum's house. The other is my (total, complete and utter) lack of weightloss. Logging my food intake (and rest assured, I am well aware that I miss some things) is interesting but has not yet goaded me into some sort of positive action!

Ah well, march will soon be here...

We have snow. I am chuffed :D. So is dd. As soon as she got home, a friend called for her and they played out for over an hour. Result.

Counselling has been done, a good amount of walking done, an aldee shop (everyone was in there stocking up, sigh. I, on the other hand, was there for part of our normal shop, smug face on), 2 washes done, the downstairs swept, cakes and biscuits made, curried parsnip soup made, subsequent washing up all done, 1 letter opened and replied to straight away.

Let's see what the weather does or doesn't do tomorrow. ..

    It is quite lovely snow!

At my school, the kids weren't allowed outside at all. At dd's school, they got to go out after their lunch and play on the field. I love her school!

20 minutes ago, the hosp where we were going to tomorrow called us to ask if we had received the cancellation letter. D'uh no! The reason? Capacity. Yet our appointment was made 51 weeks ago, so we obviously need to book sooner! The new appointment is in 8 weeks... Not very impressed. And dd, bless her, feels unloved and unimportant as other people have been moved in front of us :(.

So all the arrangements we've made for dd at her sch and me at mine now have to be cancelled too. Sigh.

I am now willing the snow to come and hit us hard tomorrow!!!!! I am quite prepared to leave work early and walk home, should it be necessary...

Oh no to the cancelled appointment. Your review of feb was very reflective. I've decided to do 30 mins on the things I'm putting off as soon as I get up in the morning, it's worked for a week or so!
