Dd and dh had a good day out doing charity shops. Me, I have been to an appointment with mum (all okay) and shown a lady round the house and done a workout. Nowt exciting, but it was a lovely sunny day and crisp, so wonderful for walking about in.

Glad your mum is ok. Yes I thought how beautiful everything looked today sparking in the sunshine. Hope you get back ok.

    Progress not Perfection
  • We are off to the cinema tomorrow. It's the one we used to go to with mum on a sat morning. I'd be allowed a packet of 'munchies' and the film was always preceeded by a short wildlife documentary. It'll cost about £13.50 for the 3 of us - much much cheaper than back home.

I've been working out the logistics and we may all (or certainly dd and I) meander over to see mum mid/late morning, going via the ch shops first (dd has discovered the Lemony Snicket books and another author to hunt down). We'll munch our lunch with mum as she has hers and then head into town to meet dh at the cinema.

    Tis a cunning plan indeed.

Good news: we realised that dd's camera had n't made it all the way here, so dh sent v1rg1n an email/filled in a form. And we got a speedy reply saying that it might have been handed in at bham stn. Phew! So we'll call them tomorrow and arrange pick up on weds on our way home.

The cunning plan worked well. It was good to see mum tuck in to a full plate of food. And she'd chatted away happily about stuff beforehand. She declared herself happy there and so well looked after. But if she went to a care home, she would have to thoroughly check it out first - I sssured her that there is no rush to move on, or to make any decisions about anything.

We all enjoyed the film - early man.

I had to send a tricky frog email recently and have been expecting it to come back and bite me. I have had a reply and it wasn't as awful as I'd feared. So I'm hoping things can be resolved ...

Mine too but I didn't know that you could change it to the same one.

I worry I will forget what I've changed it to and end up getting locked out!

We left Bham in a snowstorm!

Thankful for a smooth trip home with good connections each time. We collected dd's camera (for a £5 fee, but worth it!)

Whils we've been away, w1nd0ws 10 have been updating their stuff in the background on people's computers. And causing systems to crash. or not work. Dh is now out trying to sort out one of them and tomorrow he's off elsewhere to another one...
