Yes, it was, greent (and you are right - it's her nephew). I also suggested to her that we go out to Spain to visit the friends who we usually only see when they come over here. And that also helped. Phew.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Ouch, well at least she is coming over here to see people?
Hopefully the rescheduled wedding will be even better than the original one. Annoying, but these things happen.0 -
A lovely peaceful day has been had.
I'd cancelled couselling a week ago as I knew I'd need some space. And I thoroughly enjoyed it. I took a bag to the sally army and spent about an hour perusing the ch shops in that area. I nearly bought several items, but settled on a HPotter cauldron/mug with its box for 2.50 and a pink and grey striped tee-shirt hoodie with kangaroo-style pouch for me for 3.29.
On the way home I picked up some needed bits from sainz and then aldee. I could only just carry the bag from the bus to home!
I did Bunny Slope #15. A 15 min AMRAP where I almost completed 5 rounds. Twas a toughie.
I have made myself a chart where I am noting down my weight (weekly), stats (taken 4-weekly), the daily carb/fat/protein %s according to what I input into the f1tb1t site and the amount of grams for each (all that assumes I am including every single morsel!), and finally the workouts, including what weight I've used and how long it took or how many rounds I completed. That way, I can compare them next month and see any changes/improvements.
We have spent a ridiculously small amount in food this month thus far. Hmmm. Must ask dh if he has any secret receipts anywhere.
Looked for, and found inmy stash, more correctly-coloured wool for my minions. Yay!
A lonnnng day ahead tomorrow as there is a y9 parents and options evening that ends at 8pm. So potentially only home for 9pm. However, I do not officially start work until 11.50, although I am usually there well before that, so tomorrow I shall come back home after the morning school run, and sit and have a coffee and a chat with dh for 45 mins. If he lasts that long...:D And in the 2 hours between the end of work and the start of the evening, I may go out for a peramble. I could go a long way in 2 hours...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hope it passes quickly and you manage some time to relax too. Your chart sounds good, sounds really motivating.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Ooph but I'm weary. I made it home at 8.58pm, so dd was thrilled that I managed it before 9! I was all talked out and just wanted to sleep. I am glad that I went to bham last weekend as it would have been such an effort to go tomorrow.
Dh has taken dd to school this morning so I get a few more mins at home before heading out to work, which is lovely.
Step dd has sent us her rough itinery for June to comment on. We'll see them for a weekend and she'll stay the rest of the time with her mum. They are planning on going to a friend's wedding up in Scotland whilst over here, which seems a bit of a kick in the teeth for step ds. But maybe I'm just reading too much in to it and overthinking things.
We checked yesterday and our travel insurance doesn't cover us for cancelling. And we are also beyond the 14 day cooling off period so cannot even reclaim the purchase cost of the insurance. Big sighs!
However, I have finished 8 owls so my crafting total for the month is a whopping ... 10. Go me.
Icyland want us to spend 4x £11 there to get £5 free money. Not sure we can be bothered this time around as there is verylittle that we choose to buy from them. Their fish deal (3 packs for £10) is worth it if it is still running. But we don't have enough freezer space to bulk buy...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hope you have a rest at the weekend.0

Thank you guys.
We are having a quiet weekend thus far. Dd still had dance classes to go to but was so weary that I compromised and she stayed for 2 of the 3. It meant that we were home by 1.40 instead of 2.15, which was much better for getting food down her.
This term, she has been all worn out by Tuesday and the rest of the week is like wading through treacle, dragging her along behind. Her weekend is all about getting a little rest to try to cope with the following week. It should not be like that! So I am trying to think of solutions. I reckon it boils down to 2 things: food and sleep. Nuff said...
Got myself NSD 18/18 today, which is just as well as I'm running the NST jan thread and should set a good example!
Am planning to set up a FB selling page, sometime soonish.
Cracked on with owl making today and now have about 6 that just need their bottoms sewing up. I may yet make my target of 20 for the month... I have also made an avengers bag from a pillowcase for a little boy at church. So another item to tally up.:DNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The owls sound adorable.
Poor DD, maybe a few earlier nights? As a kid I used to stay up as late as possible, as an adult, curling up in bed with a book at 8pm is wonderful.

I have kept dd off church/kids klub today and she is staying in her jamas. I don't think the lure of the playground will even be enough to shift her out of the door. She needs a rest day.
I have done Bunny slope 18. It didn't feel very hard at the time. But now, about an hour later, it is making its effects known...
Must do a 4-week round up of The Plan today...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
