  • How annoying that you need to cancel and lose money so soon after you had booked :( As you say, at least you are getting some money back but I'd be fuming

It was rather a blow!:rotfl:! Dh was certainly very cross. It was definitely rather inconvenient...

    Today I found 10p roadkill.

I walk 2 of the miles to work and about 3 on the way back. Go me!

Tomorrow I have a session in dd's school about maths and am then heading to bham, just for an overnighter. I hope not to get snowed in again....

Hmmm, better start thinking what to take with me!

Ouch to the loss ... so sorry .. do rather like their plans though. Small wedding and lots of parties in different places. That could make for many amazing memories.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Sorry to hear about the cancelled wedding. We had a similar thing happen a couple of years ago but we were only going to Cornwall. We decided to go anyway as most of ours was none refundable.it was a bit wierd thinking we were there for a cancelled wedding. Not in the same league but I’m sorry you couldn’t get it all back. Hope you plan something else super instead.

Back from a flying visit to brum, and was not detained by the weather - yay!

Saw mum twice - it is getting easier - and cheered her up. She is ineed hearing voices and auditory hallucinations seem to be a phase of the illness. She told me that she would like to go in to a care home and be looked after for a bit, have no responsibilities but still have her freedom...

8 owls have eyes and beaks. Their wings are ready for stufffing and attaching, then I can sew up an stuff the bodies before sewing up their bottoms. Good progress.

4 minion bodies have been knitted - I was slightly thwarted by not taking any white wool with me, but the owls kept me busy.

Dd and I are going in to town tomorrow to seek out an evie doll for her to buy with bday money. We know that amzn is the only place that has them but I reckon she'll enjoy a trek around the shops (she'll certainly enjoy it more than I will...).

Nsds and exercise are going well. I feel that food spens are low but need to input the receipts to prove my feeling right or wrong.

I survived a trip to town with dd. Amazingly we were the first to arrive at the D1sney store so dd got to turn the key - and was given a toy key too. No spends there, nor toyzrus. But waterst0nes provided 2 books, so she spent her bday book token and used a little of her own money. She then succumbed to the bui1dabear emporium, tho she chose a reduced one, no sound, but a bubblegum smell instead, and paid for it from bday money. Overall, each purchase (or near purchase, of which there were many) was weighed up against the potential evie doll. Said doll is now discarded as an idea. I consider this a successful visit.

Especially as I spent nothing at all!

And I did another bunny slope workout this afternoon.

Grotty weather here - got me chilled to the bone again. Think it must be an arthritic thing as it's happened a couple of times recently when the weather had been very rainy. Or it could be that I'm a wimp...

Broke the news to dd about not going to Oz. She was not impressed!
