Lovely MSE daughter! Such a waste if DD hadn't picked them up.0

Sock spam on a Tuesday, huh? Lucky me.
Dd has a sch trip that is outside all day so I'm very glad the forecast is dry. I'm off to see my cousellor and then for a much-needed haircut.
Dd came in to bed with us around 11.30 so no-one had a good night!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
It has been a good day.
Counselling helped me see some things more clearly.
The buses were in my favour - and I caught 11 of them today.
Dd has a fantastic time out at the environment centre - they came back all muddy and happy.
I like my haircut.
Got myself some walking boots from aldee, and gf/df stuff from sainz and liddle. Liddle now have gf stuff in thEir usual stock, not just as a 'specials' deal. The biscuits are about 50p cheaper than sainz, and dd likes them, so well worth the effort to go there. Now I am all shopped out!
ZCUT kettle bell workout #6 has been done. They are deceptively fine and enjoyable to do. Then they come back to bite you as you find out later just how much your muscles have worked!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
And a friend gave me 8 tubs of soup that she made and then realised she didn't like (it contained chili). Yum!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Found 9bars in the £ shop for...£1 per pack. So I bought 3 packs! I've left them at work so I can put 1 in my bag for on the way home, which might help me scoff less when I get in... 1 bar that is, not 1 pack:rotfl:.
We were charged just over £5 interest last month on the mortgage. Well miffed. Dh has now moved back the flight refund and I've been paying over what I can and we are now neutral again. Phew.
Had a soup for lunch - friend made her soup much much runnier than I do and, as expected, it leaked in my lunch bag. Not sure how to stop that next time. Maybe put it in a metal coffee cup thingy... I eat it cold anyway, so reheating isn't an issue. But I'd need a longer spoon to reach the bottom of the mug!
Off to bham fri-sat, so must at least think about that...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Am in bham, ergo it has snowed. Not a lot, in fact it can only just be labelled a 'smattering', but snow it is. More is due later on, but I shall be headed home by then.
I spent a couple of hours last night going through my dad's slides. We 'rescued' them from his house and have been meaning to go through them for aaages. Big sis was always more keen than me, but I figured I could at least go through and remove the ones of views and places, and keep the ones with people to look at inmore detail. I'm only looking at them against an open v light grey notes page on my phone, so it's quick.
Very glad I did - have found a few of big sis and I that I've never seen. And a gazillion of our 'guernsey cousins'.
Big sis now wants to go through the ones I've binned - 'it might be interesting to see which places dad went to'. Sigh. There are several thousand in the bin. She has not yet found the time to look at any of the slides. So the removal of them from the house has been delayed by months again. Sigh. That is why I cleared the majority of dad's house as I was able to flick through an obvious pile of binnable papers from decades ago and put them in the recyc bag. Big sis would have felt the need to go through every sheet - just in case...
I'm off to do another hour's worth, so I may now bin them in a proper bin and get them out of the house! If I have time and yhe inclination another time I'm here, I guess I'll go through the ones I've already binned and try to find some places for big sis to look at... Now I think of it, dad did label some, so I may not have to look at the slide, just see if he wrote on the card.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Jus had a thought - should I count the slides as part of my 'remove' total...?!?! It would make it look impressive :rotfl:NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Just catching up. Wow to 11 buses! GlAd you have sourced cheaper gf things. Sigh to big sis wanting to look through slides. Can you give them to her to get them out and then she can look st them when she wants to?

Lots of MFW activity over here apple. We have had a few flakes of snow here but it's flying around the air rather than actually settling.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Cath - There is more snow down here at home than in bham - most unusual! But it does lookreally pretty! I left mum at 11ish and had a great journey back home, getting here by 2.40ish.
I did some more slides this morning - kept a few more than last night, but put the binned ones in the bin. And put the bin bag out. Big sis'll never know! And I've realised that theonly place-y ones she might want would be labelled on the card surround by dad, so if I get there first, I'll only have to look at writing, not at pictures again.
earthgirl - I would like to get big sis to take them home, but she lives even further away than me, also has no car. And inreality, I know that they would just sit around her house making her feel guilty about not looking at them. So if I can help by whittling them down, so much the better.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
