Walked up to a different sainz (about 2.5 miles) through the woods to get in a decent walk, and to look for socks for dd. The ones we bought quite recently from m+s have gone rather streaky grey - despite a good old soak with a vanish equivalent and a couple of washes.
So, being in the area, I might have popped in to the charity shops... Got myself a pair of cragh0pper walking trousers that fit sooo well. For £1. And a nice bright pink vest top for £1 too. And 4 books at 30p each. I know that I can and should use the library, but it can be a faff. Guess I should make the effort rather than spend money on books that I'm only going to re-donate...
Paid in a pot of coins to the bank - they have a sorting machine - love it, it is soooo noisy. And I found 3p on the floor to add to that. It has now been paid off the mortgage :T. Also picked up 2p when at the bus stop - it was in the road and I did have to wait for the other person to be looking elsewhere for a 'prolonged' period of time. But I did it. Go me!
Did the final kettlebell workout - cannot quite believe that they are only beginner ones. But I shall work through the series again - they all took between 10-15 mins so I could always add in another circuit if I feel so inclined...
Hoping for a not-too-busy weekend...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The weekend has started early. I woke at 5, needing the loo. Needed it again 40 mins later. Then started sneezing 20 mins later. So I got up! Have had a decaf, spilt a pint of water on the rug/floor, done some reading and just finished my breakfast. Dh and dd are still snoozing away.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

I have read through the examiner role offer again - it is for a team leader, so I might just have phrased it a bit to fancily earlier...! I shall be writing to accept the post tomorrow.
Dd and I nipped into town before going to dance, to pick up a doll for her from arg0s. Paid for with a £10 voucher + nectar points.
Dh has bought us a tent. For £125. Gulp. 2nd hand, so probably more for ourmoney than buying new...
In april I shall be giving up that game on my tablet. Again. It sucks in so much of my time.
Just 1 more day of official work for the month - and 1 3-hour revision session.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Joy = watching dd kneeling at the table, using her Singer hand sewing machine. I love the clunking of it as sews each stitch.
Gave up my NSD today toady - by donating to a friend's cancer charity at church (in return for some cake, yum!) and by nipping up to aldee to get one of the last ones of their moo free eggs. Phew - they had just 1 of the bunnycomb ones left, dd's preferred choice.
Struggling at the mo with the homelessness that I see. I feel so helpless.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Work is finished until april16. Yay!
Dd and dh are both a little under the weather - dh now says he has more sympathy for me with the balance/nausea issues I've been having for the last week, as he reckons he has an inner ear infection...
I have a fair amount of work hat I want to get done by the end of Thurs, so that the Easter break really is a break. I usually put things off, which means that they are preying on my mind.
We are all tired. Yesterday's loss of the hour was no big deal, but it has hit us today, esp as I am up a 5.55 on a mon. Yawn...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
We are already on holidays here and we were more than ready. It does mean we have longer half terms in the summer but hopefully the longer and summer days will make up for it.
Great charity shop find, I am in need of walking trousers so will hunt through the clothes at my charity shop rather than just the books.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
