I have submitted my contract . Go me.

Great counselling session. Feeling sad over several things atm, but talking about them and, in the process, coming to a decision about something I can do, was useful.

A good haul at the ch shop. Really have spent far too much money this month. Oops. A teddybear kit for 3; a rag rug-making kitfor 2.50; pastels to use on clothes + iron to fix for 50p, plus a couple of other bits = £9.50.

Thoroughly enjoyed my kettlebell workout. And it took under 10mins.

Dd had a good day and stayed on to kids klub, but is still worn out.

The dance school have told us of 3 extra rehearsals that she needs to attend in prep for a festival/perfomance/competition thingy. Three! An hour or 2 each. And we have to pay for the privilege - a total of £35. Not impressed. Mostly because when we signed up for it, we weren't given to understand that extra rehearsals would be needed - nor that we'd be expected to pay for them. The latest email kind of reads along the lines of 'stop moaning, you signed up for it knowing about the commitment required, this is so that your child can perform well, I'm giving up my family time to help your child...'

We'll have tomiss one rehearsal as we had planned to go and see my mum then and I am not prepared to change that. So I need to think carefully how to phrase it in an email. And if the response is 'attend all the reheardals or withdraw' then we'll have to withdraw. Ah well.

Enough moaning. Off to peruse mse. Or read a book.

Did a 30 min webinar -fairly useful.

Took dd out for dance, and we got a lift back home -yay!

Took advantage of the aldee super 6 and got 'em all.

Got up by 7and did the zcut kettlebell #4 workout. It is hard work! Just 2 rounds took me 14 mins, so I only got in more kb swings before my 15 mins were up. But I can wear my smug face now!

Have come up with a few ideas for April. I always have ideas when I'm on holiday and have lots of time - I tend to forget how it changes once back working!

Stepdd + family will be staying here for a weekend in June. Gs will be 13 months and into everything, judging from what we know of him! Which is totally the opposite to dd who was a dream. Therefore we need to do a shed-load of clearing. Stuff the idea of tidying - no space to put anything else away...

    April:
    -7 days at work
-23 days not at work :j
    -1 trip to Manchester
    -2? Visits to mum
    -lots of kb workouts
-counselling, kids klub, dr, dd's eye appt, parents eve
    -craft, read, headspace
    -gardening, painting
    -clear + sell
    -clean

But that all starts tomorrow. Today dd and I are off to a localish Easter event in a park.

    Just caught up.

Glad you have a proper break planned.

Congrats on your contract. Also don't like the sound of demanding payment for extra rehearsals. Hope you manage to sort that one.

I'm loving quick kettlebell work out atm too!
    Enjoy your break!!

Missing one rehearsal saves us £10. It's the not being told at the start about extra rehearsals and associated payments that is most annoying . And when we do go to the festival, we have to buy a ticket on the door!!

And which kb workouts are you doing? I'm doing the zcut beginners ones on utube - I love zuzka!

So dd and I trotted off late morning and stopped off at some ch shops on the way to the event. We enjoyed the clue hunting and they even had a df egg which dd could have . Result. I had agreed with dd that we'd take the egg we acquired and find a homeless person in town to give it to. But since it was df, we decidedto keep it and give money instead. We found 2 people - one older man who is often in that spot, plus a youngish lady who I've seen before.

Once home, dh put on the first indiana jones movie. It looked so dated; the rolling ball sequence was much shorter that I remembered it being. Yet it was groundbreaking cinematography at the time...

Tomorrow is Easter day and we'll be off to church. There are baptisms and easter eggs. Wonder how the easter bunny slots in to the Easter story...!

Dd and I are in bham. We saw mum as soon as we arrived as it is on our way to the house. We stayed a while, as it was going okay.

On the way here, we came past a homeless chap who I regularly see in that spot by the station. I'd brought along the eggs we got at church yesterday so we gave them to him and his two mates as well as some money. Dd said that she found the bearded one intimidating because he was smoking, but that it was ok. I am so proud of her.

Tomorrow, dd wants to go round the charity shops in 3 different areas. So we shall visit mum first and then head off adventuring. We both felt the weight of our bags on the way here and are super aware that anything we buy must be really really really really worth it.

I went through all the slides again tonight, as well as finishing off those I'd not managed to get to last time. Big sis rang. She still wants to see ALL the slides for herself. Sigh. I have done what I can. I might spend some time tomorrow going through the 'keep' ones of family and sort them into the right families.

Or I might go through the boxes of things under the stairs - put there by big sis - and bring a little more order to them. Cos if it's left to her, it'll be aaaaages. And she always spends longer with mum than I do, so this may help to balance out.

And take a bag of unused medicines to the chemist.

And not feel bad about only visiting mum the once. Big sis would go twice, for several hours. I can't face that. Plus dd has been quite upset today over gma's illness and she'll probably sit in one of the quiet lounges tomorrow while I chat with mum.

And wash today's clothes so that we have clean apparel to travel home in on Weds.
