We walked to visit mum, but found that she had a visitor, so left. Dd decided she was up for continuing walking, to the main ch shop area that she wanted to go to, so we'd done a good 3 miles by 11am.
The ch shops round here are significantly cheaper than where we live, and are more 'charity-shop-like' than 'posh'. And every single member of staff in them made us feel very welcome. We must have been in 15 different ones! And some stuff will probably have to stay here until my next visit. I spent about £12-13 and am all shopped out...
I have not been through the slides (again), but did do a little rationalisation of the under stairs cupboard contents. Prob not enough for anyone to notice unless they were told about it, but I know it has been attempted... We came across a wordle thing I'd made for mum a few years back and dd wants us to take it to gma tomorrow before we leave.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
We just came straight home today - we were both worn out! Dd is now watching a bratz movie and playing; I have done ZCUT KB #6 and feel good for doing itNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

So, my 'big' idea for earning extra money this year...? (drumroll please...) Probably the exam board work. Nowt spectacular there, but solid income. Yes, it'll be hard work, especially with the new role (training required online and in real person face-to-face meetings). However, it's a good thing.
April is also the month to try to sell things. I have spent the last 90mins trying to do so... Gumt was/is being uncooperative so I closed the page (the ultimate power of the PC user!) And then I tried to copy over the photos from my phone to my laptop. Dh finally had to step in to help me. So now it is nearly lunchtime and time to pause from all my labours...
30 mins of weeding done so far today - I think that that is about the limit of what my hands can manage - good to have a 'reasonable' time limit. Still to do - soak the coir compost thingy dh bought for me so that I can plant up some bulbs and dd can make her seed bombs.
'Nuff wittering. Let's go see if the pics have copied over...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Glad you had a good time and didn't get caught out by the weather (bad up here).
I'm taking a break from weeding to read about your weeding!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

We took a different approach to the photo copying over after lunch, which actually worked! Still not posted owt for sale as I've been naming the photos...
Dd and I did a couple of her jigsaws, then headed to the back garden, to soak the coir and then to mow it. Dh cam out to saw the coir block for me and then I realised that the compost bin was chockablock, so he started digging out the bottom layer, which I put on the garden. Then he dug up some sycamore saplings and also forked up a load of alium-style green things. A successful time outside in the sun, but my hands are all worn out now.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Dh has gone to work for a few hours. I have done my zcut kettlebell workout #7 (a really tough one with overhead squats and windmills). And dd is still asleep! She came in to us around 12.30, having had some bad dreams. So, she's slept the best of all of us now.
Off out today. Were told 2 days ago that dd needs some shimmer tights for the festival tomorrow. Amazn couldn't guarantee delivery in time, so we are fortunate to have a dance shop in a nearby town to go to. Plus a back-up shop just another bus trip further on. So we'll do a few errands on the way.
Dd loved the jigsaws so much yesterday that she wants us to do my 1000 piece one. I have had it for months and keep putting it off as we use the table for other things. But since we have another 10 das off, the challenge is on!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The jigsaw has been finished - it was only 500 pieces and a joy to do. Not quite on a par with the 500 piece jigsaw of the moon - with all the craters, rivers, landings, ravines etc labelled on it that my sister gave me for my 16th - but enjoyable enough.
We drew a blank on the shimmer tights and weren't prepared to go on to the back-up place. Mostly because the trams aren't running at the mo and therefore the return journey would have been well over an hour. Dh, bless him, has offered to go tomorrow morning for us.
I have signed up for my we-strongly-recommend-that you-go-to-this meeting, so will have to leave the house at about 5.30am that day, and will get home around 11pm. Ugh. But worth it. And similar to what I used to do every year about 10 years ago.
Whilst in town, dd helped me to choose some new frames, as my presc changed a couple of months ago. £258 later... Ouch. But that gets me 2 pairs of coated varifocals, one pair being sunglasses.
Very pleased that we still have another full week of school holiday ahead of us. 2 playdates arranged. We had considered traipsing up to Lunnon town, but dd is just so tired out that I think it won't be worth it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Forgot to mention that I bought dd some football boots and myself some walking sandals from sp0rts d1rect - they are closing down and had an extra 20% off, so £29 total for both.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
