RIP Sir Roger Bannister. Such an inspiration both in sport and in his professional life.

Have had the planned quiet day. Got a wash done so dd and I have clean clothes for the week. Always useful.

Did zcut #2. I have cracked the whole 'rack' the kettlebell thing :j. It had seemed so hard to do, so I'd avoided it. But actually it's quite simple. A whole world has opened up to me...

2 minions are finished. Slow going, I know. And some hell0 kitties still need hands, according to dd...

Got 4 veg down me at lunchtime and have a further 3 planned for tea, which should help.

No more snow days ahead now. But only 3+ weeks until the end of term!!

Had a good chat with big sis who still has drifts along the high road that have been supplemented by the snow plough to a height of 3'. Yikes! She'd best walk carefully along there tomorrow morning... We also discussed who will visit mum when, so that mum gets maximum visits from us . Though it is rather nice when we coincide and get time together too.

Today's visit to the dietitian went well. Phew. We are working on dd's tolerance to milk products, to find her personal level of tolerance.

Zcut kettlebell workout #3 felt easyish to do, and took under 10 mins. Yet now, just a few hours later, I can feel it!

7 minions and 3 hell0 kitties all finished. Have found another 3 hks to sew up. Oops. And need to do another 3 or 4 minions as I have 2 of the 3 characters but none of the 3rd. Ah well.

I have been invited to work for the exam board again this summer. Yippee :j. I have accepted their kind offer :D. The dates for different deadlines are totally different from the previous so I have put them into the Online calendar. In different colours :rotfl:.

ZCUT kettlebell workout #4 has left me with jelly arms and legs. Not had that in a long while. I may not be able to move much tomorrow... And it only lasted 15 mins with an 8K kettlebell.

Found some more super chunky wool in a ch shop. Plus a scarf that was knitted with really fat wool too. They only cost £1 each - bargain, esp the scarf. However, I failed to find really fat needles to knit the fat wool on - reckon I need 12 or 15mm. So I may head elsewhere tomorrow and have another look and if I still draw a blank, it'll have to be amzn...

Step are up around 16K again. Go me!

Best keep moving so I don't seize up :rotfl:

Hope you are not too jelly like today!

Do you have any craft market stalls near you? I find them good for picking up needles. Although most of mine came from my grandmother's old stash.

My limbs are fully functioning today, but I'm having a day off exercising.

Dh and I dropped a bag off at the Sally Army and did a trawl around the ch shops before trying out the c0sta with our re-usable mugs. Saved us 50p but the wifi was non-existant so we'll try starbux next time.

Ch shop-wise, we had a good haul. The Sally Army had 1/2 price on shoes and clothing and I used some credit, so for 49p we got some pink nike trainers for dd (she'd previously said she didn't love them enough to spend £6 on them - gotta love her!), a black dress that we can adapt for Marie Curie for dd's science dress-up day, a pair of drumsticks for me (for my fat wool knitting! No ch shop had bigger than 10mm) and some leather gloves for dh. Certainly worth every penny!

Elsewhere we got 7 books (2 are great hardbacks for presents for specific people), a cd (dh), a brand new sew-your-own doll (present), a ls pretty teeshirt for dd and a brand new clangers keyring making kit that I plan to customise. All for under £15. Bargainaceous.

A lovely mser sent me some wool and a huge bundle of bamboo needles the other year, which I love! They are much lighter to work with, which is better for my hands when they are having an off day.

Right. Off to knit with my drumsticks whilst watching Quincy. I am rockin the mse lifestyle :rotfl:.

Swung some pennies over to the mortgage today. Happy times. I think I'm just aiming to get into the 19s by the end of the year. It won't be paid off by my original aim(aimed for when we were both working and had an income approx 4x the current one) unless mum's house sells, so I'm not bothering to count on that.

ZCUT kettlebell #5 done this morning. Am now pooped!

It was a funny night's sleep. Woke myself (and dh) up with a dream then took ages to get back to sleep (dh was snoring within minutes!) as I was so hot and sweaty (menopause??) as well as having given myself a huge adrenaline rush with the dream. Then when I got up I felt all nauseous and dizzy. Pesky ears - I must be fighting something off.

Went out and about with dd before dance and am now watching the rugby and making glove cars. Very glad to have done the workout first thing. Best to get it over with before my brain can wake up and protest...

Wow - just had a downpour. Very glad to be inside.

Have had a lovely day. On her way home form school in the week, dd had spotted a bunch of roses that someone had thrown in the bushes (why???) and picked them up to give me. My wonderful mse daughter! She also made a little decorated box for me at brownies and found a bagful of various ribbons for me in a ch shop. I also got some leather bracelets that I chose for myself yesterday. Dh did what I told him not to, and bought me some flowers. But they are roses and pinks which I love, so he is forgiven!

The afternoon was spent on the sofa with the hunky rugby players entertaining me. Dd had asked me to make her a glove elephant, which I managed - and it even looked like an elephant. Result. I also made another glove car.

Food for tomorrow is prepped. Dd's homework is mostly done.
