Smiled at the karma. What were the chances eh? Hurrah!
Makes sense that movement would dispel the adrenalin ....flight /fight and so on...Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Read this this morning:
The soul goes though many seasons, seasons of new life an promise, of full fruit, of loss and then of apparent deadness with hope for new life again. The secret is to appreciate thevalue of these changes and gain the benefits of each and not become too discouraged.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I was reminded today of the moment in Friends where Monica as a teenager overhears Chandler(?) saying she is fat, and for the first time, she says 'no' to licking out the pots and bowls. Her parents are amazed that she has stopped eating. Dh has just come back from aldee and said, 'I'm all shopped out now!' Only took 358 days this year...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

The 'santa please stop here' sign is up.
The reindeer food is sprinkled.
The sleigh trackers (yep, there are now 2 - norad and google) are tracking. We aren't going out to see it tonight as there is too much cloud out there.
The tray with food on is prepared.
The chicken is removed from the freezer ready for roasting tomorrow.
A plan for 2018 is forming, under the Health, Wealth and A Life Well Lived headings. Still a work in progress...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Happy St Stephen's Day!
I recently watched an episode of Big bang where Sheldon sings all 4 verses of Good King Wenceslas. I was amazed at how much of it I was able to sing along to!
Dd is feeling the post-christmas lethargy. Even commented on it herself. Sometimes I think that it is a shame it isn't back to the time where the 12 days of cmas started on the 25th and heralded a time of peaceful reflection, ending on Jan 6th at Epiphany when the Kings arrived. Or maybe that time never really existed and I'm just part of the post-25th lethargy myself...
Well, my tooth - or lack thereof - is trundling along fine. I'm still on a fairly soft diet, and still have to be careful not to suck things - it causes pain so is best avoided.
Dd and I need to get ourselves organised and packed to head norf tomorrow.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd recieved the book Coraline for cmas and has asked me to read it so that we can talk about it. I am finding it decidedly scary... Definitely not one to read inan evening. I'm off to read the last 100+ pages of HP and the order of the phoenix - much nicer!
Dh emptied the water-collecting container in the loft today. So we do still have a leak in the roof and it does still occasionally overflow. Just as well I still do not keep anyhing in my wardrobe as that is where the water overflows to. Anyhow, I have repeated to dh that I really do want to get rid of the wardrobes (up and over the bed ones), and replace with free standing ones. Will therefore need to replaster the ceiling (and wall?), replace carpet, redecorate, replace wardrobes...
Will need to save up!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
We left the house in a 'snowstorm' that chilled dd tot he bone. Now, 4 hours later, we have made it only as far as Peterborough. Delayed train. Train with a window where the outer pane was shatterd and bits came off it each time a train went past the othe way. De-trained from said train onto another at P'borough. Fortunate again to have got seats as many are stood/sat in aisles. Could do with v1rg1n putting the heating on though...!
Delay repay will be hit hard from this journey!
anyhow, nowt spent, we have lunched and still have plenty of food with us, dd is happy, we have wifi. Plans for jan and 2018 are getting sorted. Having paid over £4k off the mortgage his year, I sugested to dh tha we aim for that next year. He snorted. Indeed he did! Thinks we can' do that as we'r going to Oz. I reckon we can at least try as Oz should come from savings. The gauntlet has been thrown down...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
