Hope dd has had a good sleep and wakes restoredMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Thank youboth. I went upstairs at 10ish and she was awake, so she got up. She has pottered around all day - and had the sort of day that she probably should have had yesterday. And she is much better, though not yet up to speed as regards eating.
I managed to do bunny slope 8 - they are definitely getting harder.
Presents are almost all wrapped - except dd and dh's and a few teacher plants.
My5 has a gazillion back-to-back strongman episodes on from 2008 - I get to see Mariusz Pudz - yay! And knit while watching. Bliss.
I do not need to see the dentist - yet - as I manage to persuade the abscess to give up some of its green goo. A relief.
Lots of baking has been done - choc chip vanilla muffins and cherry bakewells for dd. All safe. No milk ladder - not worth it at the mo.
Am v glad that I made the effort to go in to work last Friday.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hope dd feeling much better. I think the end of term exhaustion affects the children as much as us. Envious that your presents are almost all wrapped, I'm yet to start!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Dd went in today and had a good day.
I had a good counselling session, and did a good aldee shop with dh. We bought our chicken for cmas dinner.
I have done bunny slope 9, using 3k dumbells. It was hard work, so seems to be at the right level for me for now.
After reading other peoples' threads, I am considering things like fugaldom's 2018 challenge, payoffallyourdebtsbycmas18, or the 1% challenge. If mum's house sells, we are laughing all the way to the bank. But it may take aaages so I need to have a plan of action.
My income is fixed but dh's is erratic.
We are off to Oz in the summer for 4 weeks - paid for with savings, but that means we are no longer mortgage neutral and are having to pay interest again. It was all of £1.43 this month . I don't like it! And we have yet to buy the flights...
So, plenty to ponder. Goals to set. A possible return to Health, Wealth and a Life Well Lived.
But first, some hefty money-out transactions to survive: teeth and counselling bills.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ooh. Just been playing with the calculator.
27,295 - mortgage at the start of 2017
-23, 233 - mortgage at the mo
=4052 paid off.

I have re-realised that I do not really need to worry about dh buying 'stuff' needlessly. I realise that he has a need to go round the shops from time to time. But that is usually the £-style places. Today he bought a Biggles style flying hat for a posh friend who has recently treated himself to a leather flying-jacket coat. Dh found it in the £ shop! He has also dug out his own beloved white scarf and is washing it. And he is currently fashioning some goggles out of goodness knows what. Go dh!
I had a meander round a handful of ch shops today. Spent 1.50 on 3 books, 50p on a beautiful hanging snowman for dd with her initial on it, 2.00 Sally Army credit on a running gilet (I live in hope...) and jeans for me, 75p on a plump cushion inner.
All friends' presents are wrapped and ready to go (minus the scarf and goggles). Dd's and dh's are also done - I didn't think I'd necessarily feel like wrapping stuff once I've had my extraction tomorrow...
Bunny slope 10 is done. Again, I don't expect to do any more for a while after tomorrow...
Dd finishes school today. She is sooo ready for it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Good luck for tomorrow - I hope that the extraction is quick and the pain relief plentiful xxxMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Thank you MWC x
Having paid in £40 of coins today, I have 696 in my ca. I also have of 690 to come out this month. Have talked to dh and will transfer some pennies over from our joint account, just in case I have my figures wrong...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Another wish that tomorrow's extraction goes as well as it possibly can xxI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200
