Thank you Watty. No onions here, so simple tortilla it will have to be.

Simple pleasures :) Second what Watty said about making it an adventure - and am glad to hear that gf/df options aren't *too* far away - and doubly glad to hear that DD can stay with a neighbour if you have to make the trek :) xx

Thank you michelle. We can certainly keep warm -tho dd needed 2 duvets last night! I am so pleased that when big sis suggested rationalising the bed linen a while ago, I said to keep it all in case there were ever 3 people here. Phew.

Bham city council have stated that all state schools are closed tomorrow. Forecast is well below 0 so all thewhite stuff is going to freeze nicely.

And we are back home. Phew. The trains and buses all ran nicely for us, giving us a super smooth journey home. I am very grateful to V1rgin trains who allowed people to use yesterday's tickets today, without insisting on them catching the train at the same time of day.

Just time for a quick sit down before heading out to see the dentist...

The dentist lanced the abscess again and drained it using the sucker thingy, took imprints of my teeth and checked that he can extract the root and have the next stage ready to put in before cmas. (Though if he is unsble to extract the tooth, he'll have to refer me elsewhere, which would then be in 2018...). All for around £265. Who would have thought it?!?! Still, it's cheaper than a new pair of specs...

Glad you are home safe. Made a flying visit to forum to update own thread and then thought I'd just check up on you :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I have been feeling generally low and sad for the last couple of weeks. It is like my batteries are run down. In a counselling session, he asked if I was an introvert or an extrovert. Introverts get their energy from being on their own and quiet; extroverts needs plenty of people and social occasions. I am totally an introvert. And I realised today that over the last few weeks I have not had much time on my own. Perhaps there is a connection...

I was feeling overwhelmed this morning by all the gifts I want/need to get ready by tomorrow to take in to work. To be honest, I could probably do nothing, but that wouldn't help my mental state now, would it?!

So I wrote yet another list - on my phone this time as I was out and about - and prioritised the work ones. Some of them will be getting something I've made - but all that stuff is still at work as we simply left it behind (in a safe place) after the fair last friday. So I have packed some cmas paper and cards and will get it done when I arrive. I hope...( Total monetary cost = £12 + time for 8 people)

And the abscess is hanging over me. It will continue to fill up and drip gunk until the root is gone. Lovely. At least it can drip, and is not pooling at the root because it is a bottom tooth. Dd and I are due to travel rather far oop norf after cmas and I wasn't sure whether to go ahead and buy the tickets, or wait. I have just bought the tickets, as I wanted to be sure of getting some, and I guess that I can always cancel the tickets/get a partial refund if the extraction doesn't go to plan, or if I react badly to it.

    Enough blethering on.
