I have told dh and dd not to let me travel to bham on the same weekend as I am doing kids klub. So tired. Lots of tears from dd today - most unusual, think she is simply soo tired and prob fighting off all the bugs around the place in Dec. Dh didn't come with us, so at least he should be recovering soon.
I have a dodgy tooth. A false one on a stick that goes up into the remains of the tooth. Thestick is a short one and the tooth has fallen out about 3 times. Each time it comes out, it gets a bit more precarious. Anyhow, the gum around the tooth is starting to look red and is swollen. Reckon I need my dentist to remove the tooth and do something. I do not want an infection up there! But the cost... Oh the cost.... I don't even want to think about it...
However, that may be the impetus I need to claim back my expenses...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hope tooth can be easily resolved. A homeopathic dentist once recommended gunpowder in 6c and something else for infections and it worked a charm....would have to look up what the other option was but the pair of the pills were very cheap. The dentist however was a 'little odd' and I never went backMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Thank you Watty - I'll see what homeopathic combo mr google comes up with.
I trust my dentist. I only have probs when another dentist sees me. And it was another dentist who stuck my tooth back in this time...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Forget the cost. Needs must. Finally looked at my tooth/gum instead of just feeling it with my tongue. Yikes. So I phoned the dentist and they were able to see me this afternoon. Skipped out of work early - or rather, I forfeited my free period - to get there in time.
End result= an abcess + a cracked root. Sigh. Dentist lanced it, gave me a scrip for antibiotics and I have an appt for next Mon. It'll be a lengthy process as the root needs rmoving first, then allowing 3-4 months for healing and then discussing what to do to fill the gap.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Finally sat down and looked at expenses owed to me.Discovered that I'd not done it since August. Over £800 requested. No wonder I was skint.
The antibios seem to be working. Phew. Still v sore, mind.
Brownis run soon. And dh is out tonight so I'll have a quiet evening. Finished off 5 bunnies already today. Just 1 pair of mittens left to do. Then price lists and signs.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Glad you have at least started getting tooth/gap sorted. I have a gap mid teeth at the top right. I always meant to have something put in there but my lovely dentist says teeth are about function first and form second. If you can function without and it doesn't show them fair enough .... he said this after I nearly fell out of the dental chair when he gave me the quote for filling said gap with method of choice...... I opted to mull it over and save the money and many years later I've still not saved the money for that bit of work. I told him I was waiting for a more cost effective alternative to come on the market last visit and he did laugh.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

On Monday I recieved an email from a colleague that rather upset me. I wondered if I was being over sensitive , so asked dh to read it. He agreed with me. I was thinking of talking about it to the head, if she was available. But this morning, after my bible reading, I decided not to doanything with it and let it go.
Anyway, I did pop to see the head, to ask how she was, as she'd been very croaky on Mon. And she had also received the email! So she knew exactly what had been written and that is good enough for me.
Snuck in to primarni and bought dd some cmassy winter leggings x2 and a HP tshirt for her bday.
Tomorrow I'm taking dh with me to the street market, to buy more hyacinth pots. Dh was talking about getting 'stuff' from m+s to take to peoples' houses. No way! He couldn't even say how many he was planning to buy - or what he was going to buy. So I Hope I've persuaded him otherwise. I plan to get 5 or 6. Just think how much money I've saved us!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Haha I had to laugh at buying “stuff”!

Glad the head knew about that email. Nice you didn't have to do anything but that it was somehow put out there for you. Good job.
Am loving the hyacinth pot idea. Where do you buy the cellophane for wrapping them?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Posh school will be applied for next year as dd is still keen to do so.
Watty - I think we bought a roll of cellophane from amzn a while ago. It'll last aaaages. Especially if the market continues to not have its plant stall and therefore renders me unable to purchase a gazillion hyacinths to wrap.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
