Love the sound of DDs party. The gaggle of girls should have fun making owls....what a nice idea dd had.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    Back to work today.

Back-to-back sessions. No departmental time. Brain ache.

Dd isn't back until Thursday. Oh, the unfairness...

Tomorrow we shall all go to a certain charity shop area - on my way to work - and have an early mooch. Dd and dh can continue there when I have to abandon them to go to work.

I need a plan. A cunning plan. So that I do not have to carry on in the job until 60, but do not need to claim my pension. A legal plan. One that does not involve selling my body to science.

Frugal living is a start - when dh can claim his pension(s), we will have a bigger income than now. If I stop then, I'll have about 5-6 years before being able to claim my work pension (and aeons until I get my pennies from The State). Quite a gap! If only selling bunnies and crafting was a lucrative income stream...

    As I said, I need a plan...

    2018 Plan 1: from 31/12 - 25/3 (12 weeks)

    A life well lived:
    -headspace and counselling to continue
-enjoy time with dd + dh
-use up wool and fabric stashes
-remove 2018items this year, so about 700 this plan
-buy a joyous address book and fill it in (finding mum's has been so useful to us, as we are aware of names of her friends but no more than that. I don't want to leave others ithout that info for me)
-balance work, visits to mum, family time, fitness goals

    That'll do for now!

I'm doing a de-cluttering challenge I saw on fbook. 1st of the month remove one item, 2nd 2 items and so on and a 31 day month will result in 496 items being de-cluttered!

You've gone back to work early, we've another week off here. I think the children need it, they were so worn out before Christmas.

Do you have a spare room? Are you full time at the moment?

    Any ideas for your plan?

I think I know where you are going re a spare room, small! We do have a 3 bed house, but the 3rd room is dh's office / spare room . And dh has already flatly refused to have a lodger/airbnb.

I'm not full time - just 2 days. I also realise that I propbably would not cope/manage to do more. 3, possibly, but there is no chance of any extra at work at the mo.

I started this diary with the goal of paying down the mortgage. When we got to morgage neutral, I felt a bit lost! Then dh invested a few 000s, so we were no longer neutral, but had to start paying interest again. Sulk! But I have a goal again.

    How to achieve FIRE, eh?

I slipped in the mud today.

    At work.

In front of a bunch of y11s.

    They didn't laugh too much...

I had a muddy backside for the rest of the day.

A bath has helped, but I keep finding aches and pains. And I have a headache.

I am too old to slip over in the mud!

Problems with my business. The stress was stopping me sleeping.

Ooops to slipping over in the mud :(

The owl crafting sounds great for DD's party :)

I am also going for removing 2018 items in 2018 (works out at between 5-6 items/ day). Thanks to DD having a mini sort out of stuff in her room we are at over 70 already :) It's going to go downhill for the rest of the month, I expect! :)
