:rotfl: Maybe we could get together sometime as I'm the same but in reverse - at least we'd have one good pair between us :rotfl:.
You're on! I had retinal reattachment follwed by cataract removal a while later. The surgeon pointed out that the NHS probably wouldn't exist by the time I would be old enough for the 2nd eye to need the lens removing. But at least I'd always be able to see through one eye! Poirot was helping me get things done this morning too! He does get about :rotfl:a penny picker upper. I hadn't realised at first that it was the last ever one! But as good as ever - unlike Jonny Creek bumf.
Since last posting I have:
had lunch
sewn up the glove - now have a pair!
unpicked a seam I sewed wrong and did it right, plus sewed the matching one - another pair finished
sewed, stuffed and embroidered a Hello Kitty (must hide from dd as she told me not to bothrr making any more cos they weren't v gd!)
ironed and put away all there was on the pile
been through my wardrobe and been ruthless (ish) with the more 'hopeful' pairs of trousers. A total of 8 more items to go.
spent nothing :j

I overslept for the first time in ages! Oops. Still got dd + neighbour's dd to school on time.
But didn't go to do some paperwork ar work - instead I did some of it at home. I'd like to get it finished tomorrow.
Have been and collected 2/3 of a cabin bed - couldn't fit the part that holds the mattress into the car, so need to send dh one evening.
Done a shop at Ald1 - slightly overspent: vegetable crisps (now all gone, oh dear) and 3 jars of curry sauces. Total of £4.46. But still not on the list. Slapped wrist for me, as I want to be super careful this month. I guess the only 'extravagance' was the crisps....
Washing done and hanging out.
Front and back grass mown. I would love to have a mower with a grass box, and not have to rake up every time. However, we got this one for £2 years ago from a boot fair and have definitely had our money's worth out of it! Can't justify the cost of a new one with grassbox, so I'll keep on exercising my abs by raking.
After months of procrastinating, I've finally made a draught excluder (!) out of dd's old small duvet and a fleece sleeping bag thingy that she never used and makes her too hot anyway. It was soooooo easy to do! And gets me 10% of the way towards April's sewing target! I have no idea what to make to do the other 90% yet...!
And the sewing's on top of the knitting... I think I managed 28 items in March, so am chuffed with that. April sits at 4 finished items so far.
Best get ready for this afternoon's school run.
Must wash up once home - there's piles of it! Not sure how we generate so much. Yet I have no desire for a dishwasher. Don't think I've ever lived in a house that has one!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Mountain of washing up conquered. A few rows knitted. A daughter to bed and asleep quite quickly. A local toysrus store located. A present for dd's teacher chosen. And train tickets to see gma investigated.
Over the hols, I want to get outside more. Fresh air, daylight and moving around will all be beneficial. And if I'm outside, I can't be inside munching away, eh?!
Tomorrow-school run, exercise, bank, chemist. And no oversleeping...
I find i'm extremely tense across my upper back/neck/shoulders so need to actively relax and push my shoulders down. Maybe my posture could be better ...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
It was dh's turn to oversleep this morning! But at least he has the car today.
Added to today's list is: take the bag to the Sally Army. This'll involve 3 buses each way, despite travelling less than 4 miles to get there! It's part of the 'get outside' pledge. Usually, I'd walk one bus leg, but the bag's too heavy for that.
Also, I have quite a lot of 'credit' with the SA and want to get some new jeans. I say want, I mean need, as I managed to break the zip on them yesterday and it's irreparable.
I can do the bank whilst I'm in the area too.
Dh said that we'd run out of cotton buds yesterday - after I'd been to the shops. I think we have some in the craft drawers - i'm not wasting a NSD on them!
Off to wake up dd. And make more coffee.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
