Workout done - Tik Tok: 10mins of 10 sumo high knees + belly down + spring up. Did 45.

I did a belly down today, when I dropped my memory stick down the back of the desk ... does that count? Didn't quite get to spring up as I had a half-collie type dog throwing socks and balls at me whilst I was down there, it's all a big game apparently!

I scrambled half a knitted hanging heart before coming up to dd. In red sparkly wool. But it's rather scratchy wool, so am thinking about cutting the other half from a red fleece top I bought yonks ago in a ch shop for this purpose. Then blanket stitching them together with white wool. Will tryit and see. If it's successful, then maybe I can apply the knit half / fleece half approavh to trees....

Re: the scratchy wool? Will it felt if you wash it? Might be worth trying a sample to see, then you can carry on as usual but adding hand-felted hearts to your repertoire?

    You're doing amazingly well BTW!

Hope head's a little better today. Perhaps joining coeliac.co.uk will also help you be accountable with grains, but of course am happy to nag from this end as required!

Well done, Hbbb - you've got the 'belly down' part sussed! Just the powering up part to master now... Tho doing it with dogs bouncing around and joining in adds an extra level of complexity to the move! A bit like swimming or gymnastics where the level of difficulty varies according to the moves involved...

Yet another NSD bagged today. And a new part of London spied. I had a course in the Novotel in Hammersmith, so have had the experience of walking alongside 'the Hammersmith Flyover'. A delightful concrete construction that I've only ever heard about in travel reports before now.

But the course was well worth it, and the food was superb. I stuffed my face!! And we finished a little early so I trundled home in sunshine.

And I got a workout in :T. Try this one, Hbbb! 6x 10/10 of: high knees + mountain climbers; 6x10/10 of: squat jumps + jacks; 6x 10/10 of: 2 footed jump onto the 3rd stair and step back down + pistol squat; 6x10/10 of: front plank, side plank, front plank, other side plank. Then 10 mins of running on the spot followed by some stretching. All in all, only about 20 mins and lots of sweat!

Tea was small - egg and hm chips. And now I'm sitting with a fidgetting dd. She needs new tap shoes (bad mummy trying to make her wear too small ones) and the show is in 8 days. Oopsie.

Also, her very high up bed isn't really working now - her room is tiny, and she can't stand up on it anymore and keeps clonking her head. However it is supremely useful for storage, tho I reckon that's a compromise we'll just have to make. Have you seen the price of beds!!! !!!

I cut out a heart shape from the fleecy material only to discover that it frays summat rotten. Need a plan B.

Tomorrow is a spendy day. Dd's dance fees and tap shoes. Dh wants to use a £4.50 off a £30 shop at Mr S. I shall not stop him!

But normal childcare arrangements should recommence from Monday - huzzah! :j Phew + big sighs from me.

Enough wittering. Munchkin is still not asleep tho, so I'm going nowhere apart from over to the posts to browse.

Boy, am I tired at the mo! Woke up refreshed but from 2pmish, seemed to go downhill with energy, patience, enjoyment of life.

Anyhow, I took dd to tap and ballet, sling-less. She enjoyed it and I got a short trundle around the ch shops where I got dd a Rapunzel dress for a bargainous £3. She was chuffed!

Then we had to go and get her some tap shoes that didn't squish her toesies. I'm kicking myself for leaving it so late to get them (need them next sat), and having to pay 5p under £20. I'll not be repeating that mistake again - I hope.

The afternoon was spent at home, which was nice. I pottered on with knitting. I've stitched together 2 more hanging hearts and knitted Goldilocks + 3 bears. The bears still all need ears and all 4 need arms and G needs hair. So nearly there :rotfl:. Not sure whether they count as 1 or 4....

I finally tackled the cutlery drawer to clean and tidy it. Plenty of junk for recyc and 3 things for the charity shop. Couldn't face another drawer today, but feel smugly satisfied with the one I've done.

I think I'll go to bed asap. I'm on kids klub tomorrow and then we're out for lunch, so quite busy. I want to avoid another headache as I'm feeling tense, tired and my neck is tightening up. Grrrr.

Blimey A*M, no wonder you're crawling into bed ... don't think I'd be able to get up after that lot! Going to have to stick to walking and trying to go up stairs more often and more quickly just to build up to even trying one of your sessions!

Glad DD's feeling good and that she now has new tappity shoes. Big question though ... do they go with the Rapunzel dress? X

Thanks Hbbb. The dress was worn for the rest of the day and she rootled through her dressing up box for some high heels (the tap shoes haven't even been taken out of their box!). I've not really allowed her to have high heels - they only serve to make you fall over whatever state of inebriation or otherwise one may be in! She has some from the neighbour that are about 1" high and announced that they weren't high enough - she needed ones that make her walk on her tiptoes. Thanks Barbie! So I told her to walk about on her tiptoes instead. She didn't last long! Niether did the 1" ones as, when she tried to run, she kept falling over (cue nervous noises from mummy). So socks it was.

We all woke up early today - pesky sunshine eh? Even dd was awake and chattering by 6.45. Must get her back into her room with its blackout blinds! Only, she doesn't want to go back into her high up bed and we're not exactly at the point of spending out on a new one just yet... Wonder what she'd think of a mattress on the floor... Nope. That idea has just been rejected. Fair enough, when there's a perfectly good double futon she can roll on and fidget on all by herself!

Dh has just left to go to church for the PA; time for us to have breakfast so we can leave by 9ish. I've already taken tablets for my head - it really shouldn't threaten to be a problem at the WEEKEND. But as we're out for lunch, I thought it best to pre-empt and rattle with white pills instead. So long as I remember to take some with us...

A good day has been had. And no money spent either. Dd loved Kids Klub, as ever, and I enjoyed it too. Then off for lunch where they had lots of toys to occupy dd, and yummy food for us grown up people. Only got back at dd's teatime!

Having decided that I would do NO knitting today, I did cave in and knit 2 pairs of arms for the bears. But having the pressure off was nice. Just need to be decisive about the ears: felt cut outs or knitted hassle? Maybe a tad too deep for tonight's cogitations.

Just realised that I've only 6 more working days til my end of term, and 5 normal days til payday. Woohoo! I run the budgets by calendar month tho, so they go on for 8 more days.

Tomorrow I shall stop off at 1celamd and buy things they have at the same price as Ald1: milk + eggs really. And I shall also have a quick look at the charity furniture shop to see if they have any suitable beds. Oooh, just remembered that in a nearby town there is a BHF furniture place. Worth a look!

Normal childcare arrangements have been resumed and boy, do I feel the tension being released! And dd is on day 3 with no sling, so I may just tidy it away tomorrow.

Hmmm. Tomorrow. Dh is going up to London for some techy thingy after work. So won't be back til dd is asleep. Me too probably!

    To do:-
    - school run
    - book fair
    - washing up
    - washing
    - make soup
    - make choc chip cakes
    - tidy out work bag
    - tidy 2nd drawer
    - knit!!!
    - exercise
    - Aldee
    - bank cheque from last week - oops - only just remembered it!
    - go through emails and find AQA ones
    -

Goldilocks + bears are finished. I chose to sew on felt ears instead of fiddly knitted ones. So, 4 more items done! (cheating a bit, but it helps the total....)

I've seen a bed that dd likes, on gumtreee, so I need to think whether I spend the time chasing through the big charity furniture shops in 2 different towns, or go for it. I don't really expect to get it any cheaper, so may go for the easier option. Will sleep on it.

Today I'm grateful for scraping ice off the car (love the cold!), very patient y11s when internet kept failing at work, the scent of the wonderful blooms my mum sent me, dd's hugs and cuddles, a good cup of coffee.

    .

    Hmmmm.

Got a workout done this morning before my brain knew what was happening. No belly down this time.... Twas an old bodyrock one by Zuzana called 'Enjoy the burn'. After a warm up, 12x10/50: Santana push up with elbow crunch Left (7, 6 1/2, 6); half burpee (10, 10, 12); push up Right (5, 7, 6 1/2); jump lunge (30, 33, 34). Then a thorough cool down! Total time 22 mins work.

Habi - am sure you can produce a half burpee...

Dh hasn't used the car for work today, so I used it for the Aldee shop where I spent £50. 12 of that was on cheese! And 7 on lovely roses for dd's lovely school - they make it such a happy and inspiring place for her.

Washing is on the airer, curtains are washed - need to dry and iron them and sew on some lining to make the room slightly darker.

I have the second drawer out on the rug in front of me, so once HUTH is over, I'll start on that then my school bag and then wash up and grab a bath. I know how to live life to the full.

Second and third drawers done; school bag contents refined; some knitting done; washing up and bath both done - tho not simulaneously; floor swept; cakes made too.

    Not bad!

Have also sorted through dd's shoes, but need her yea/nay for which to keep.

The next bag for the Sally Army is ready, so will probably take that on Fri.

    Off to do some ironing.
