And now I've doen the school run + been to the book fair; have ironed a couple of things including some trousers I thought I needed to shorten - but I don't; the curtains got ironed to dry them as much as poss, and an old duvet cover is now their lining. Result? Not really - the curtains have shrunk and now don't quite reach the shelf that will keep out the draughts. Oops.
Anyhow, me and dd have done a quick trip to the chemist. They rang to say the gf bread had come and needed collecting so off we trotted. Grrrr. The bread's best before date is TODAY. The delivery note tells me that it was delivered there on the 19th. Grrrr again. Theyusually give us a decent service, but this did feel like they were taking the mick. Especially as they said that they'd been trying to call lots yesterday and today. Hmmmm. I was in practically all of today... No calls til the one I amswered.
I have made soup and hardboiled some eggs for lunch for the rest of the week. So the only things on my list are to read emails from AQA and governor stuff, and dosomething about the papers on the table. My least favourite activities! That's why I've not done them ... Yet...
I'd knitted hats for a friend, her hubby and 2 kids for Christmas and the little boy was wearing 1 hat this am and anothrr this pm. They looked good!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

That's really shocking about the GF bread!
Can't believe the chemists can be that useless, how awful.

If you areunable to watch the film quietly, then you will have to do some mindless copying. No, it wo 't be mindless, you'll do some educstionally beneficial copying!" They were as good as gold!
Then my y11s got me water, offered coffee and cakes to look after me. By this time, the tablets were kicking in, but I certainly modified my day!
In awe of your exercising & sugar resistance! Well done! :T

Hi Pearla, thanks for dropping by. I think we could all do with reverting to being 6 again, it's such fun!
Dd has her class assembly this morning and I have permission to go into work late so I can go and see it.
Whoch means I've had time already to get in a workout - go me! This one's called 'feel the burn' and is not to be confused with the previous one called 'enjoy the burn'! It was also 12x10/50: sumo squat jump 30/31; power push up (full push up + jump feet in, hands off ground) 7/6; squat to pull up (yikes! Little leaps up to chin up or military position) 4 1/2 / 4 1/4; 2x jump lunge + 2 low jacks 9/10; dive bomber 5/5 1/2; hanging knee raise 12/11. Plus warm up and cool down.
Now enjoying the last few mins of peace before waking dd.
I've been asked to give a 3 minute mini presentation about the training I went on last Friday. The quandry is which aspect to focus on!
Am looking forward to pay day tomorrow, and doing the money shuffle. April is looking decidedly tame - as regards work commitments - so far. Phew! I think the decluttering may move to the bedrooms.
Oooh, I'vw done 6 sugar free days! :T 5 more to go...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
dd's assembly was lovely. I was conscious of how many mums were recording it. But when dd did her lines, she did them looking at me and I was glad she wasn't looking at me with my head behind a device.
The rest of the day went ok. I do feel like I'm chasing my tail when I go in late. But by combining classes of kiddies left when those doing athletics and rugby had gone, I did someone else a favour, plus gained an extra free period.
And in about 10 mins, I'm off for this month's last governors meeting. It's a full one, so could be 2+ hours. Ugh.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

They didn't take a moment off to engage with the kids or play with them or anything, they were too busy ensuring they recorded every moment. It was a truly disturbing experience. I think back to parties when I was young and both my parents were always ready to engage and play, my dad especially (he was a bit of a gang leader, lol). I don't know how I would have coped if they'd spent my life being preoccupied with a piece of machinery.
Hope the meeting went ok in the end(!)a penny picker upper. The governors' meet went well. The chairperson is vety good at doing concise, clear and finishing almost on time. I do like to know what is going on there! Innate nosiness, I guess.
Friday means that the week has been survived.
Tomorrow is the big show day for dd. I plan to leave at 10, and park and get some lunch down her, ready for a 12.15 arrival at the theatre. The first show is at 1.30 and at 3.15 she can leave the theatre and get some 'lunch' (daft, daft, daft!) before returning for 5, evening show at 6, finishing at 8.15pm. Last time - 2 years ago - the first show overran by 45 minutes and dd didn't do the 2nd one! Ridiculous, indeed. So I hope it's tighter this time.
i'll be backstage all the time. Her group have 4 dances in the first half then nowt til the finale. So a boring 2nd half! She wants dh to watch the 2nd show.
Goodness, I sound negative. Oops. I'm tired and dd is worn out already! Also, the idea of taking 2 meals for each of us is big. We can't just go and buy something, so if I've not thought ahead and packed enough, it's my fault. I know I'm just winding myself up - so will stop!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
dh is out tonight, so it's me + dd. Hope she drops off quickly, but she has so much going round her head, I'm surprised it doesn't explode!
Next month will cost more than this, methinks. We will take dd to Drusilla's and even the online prices add up to a lot. Plus, we've not been paying full whack for her dance classes since... September! When I realised, I 'fessed up and was told that they would only charge us from now on. Phew!
Did a big grrrr at natw3st online banking tonight. As I'd been paid, I wanted to move the extra £800 into mortgage + savings quickly. The website was pesky and i ended up paying twice into the savings as well as the mortgage. So, I'm £400 down for April, and we're not even there yet!! I can't move it back (long story) and don't really want to move it to the current account, as it'll get swallowed up there. So... In April, instead of withdrawing the cash from natw3st, I'll do it from t'other bank, then when I get home, pay that amount from the savings into the right account. In my head, all is clear! Tho must keep a clear note of all the cash withdrawals...
April is bedrooms declutter month. Starting with my stuff.
And I'll need to factor childcare costs into my amounts, as from the last few days of April. I think it'll cost about £70 per 4 weeks. Ouch!
Well, I got a wash done tonight. And therefore shouldn't need to do another one til Tuesday. And I have a list for things to take tomorrow. Including my knitting - which has not happened for a few days. I did spend a happy 20 mins on pinterest today, for the first time ever, and pasted some Christmassy ideas together.
Knitting wise, I want to do more owls, more red trees and then hats and mitts. For now!.
Dd seems to be asleep, so time for me to creep away...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
We have survived the show :j! Dd is exhausted and should soon be in the land of nod. She came in this morning at 7, pesky child, too excited to stay in bed any longer. I was not too amused as she woke me from a lovely dream!
Dh came with us, drove us both ways, which I needed. He saw the 1st show, and I got to see the 1st half , which is where all of dd's dances were. We persuaded her to stay and do the 2nd show, but with each of her 4 dances, she shed more tears. Dance 3 she ran off the stage to me (in the wings) and dance 4 she trotted on late having decided that she did want to do it! At least I'll know which is my child on the dvd...!
Anyhow, we left in the interval, so she's only missed the finale. Squeezed her bedtime routine rather a lot, but twas needed.
I had naively thought I'd get some April planning, knitting, down time whilst she was dancing. Ha! Soooooo wrong. Managed about 3 rows!
Dh says he'll get the bus to church tomorrow - he has to go early to do PA. I poimted out that with the hours change, he will be leaving - in effect - at 7am. Ugh!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
