Snuck out of school today to mooch round some charity shops to look for a red top that dd needs for her cheerleading. Found one in the last shop - of course! Dh has also ordered one off tinterweb.
Also found some GEOX trainery shoes for just £5. unused. result :j.
Bunny Fayre is on 4th July. Bunnies all packed up ready to travel, and am getting the other bits and bobs together - stuff like scissors and sellotape to attach price lists, as we'll be outside. Forecast is currently very hot, but the fair is 9 days away, so plenty of time for that to change...
Bank account is more depleted than normal so I need to look at the month's spending. Tis all written down, just needs adding up... I guess 116 on train tickets and 55 on books for work (will be reclaimed) are ok, but it's the ch shop buys, despite being bargainacious that I reckon are the culprit... At least I've not bought a cross trainer!!!Or a happy one either.

Hiya Apple
Just had a quick thought with you saying the fair is on 4th July. Would it be too late for you to make an american themed bunny/mouse? It may draw a little more attention to the table and maybe you could do a name competition or something to give it away? raise some money for the school at the same time?
Just a thoughtFeb NST #4

Cool idea shy! Would have been a good thing to do, but don't think I have any stars and stripes fabric! However, I shall ponder the thought and see what I can do...
Recent bunnies have been white bodies and limbs with just the outside of the ears in a striking bright fabric. Now, if I could get some stars on blue for one ear, and some stripes for the other, then I could do it!
Hmmm, may just have to see if the market stall has anything tomorrow...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Back from a little jaunt, with a smug face!
Found nowt to spend my voucher on in holl and B, so walked out.
Market stall did have suitable fabric, but I just didn't want to spend! Then, in the very first charity shop, I acquired a blue babygro with white smmall stars, AND a red and white stripey top. Result! So, a huge thank you shyspender for the idea!
Now to get cutting out...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I've stitched up most of the first bunny pair and they look sooooo cool! However, I am bearing in mind what a colleague said (yep, shy, I've been telling anyone who'll listen about your genius idea!) - that maybe only an american would buy them, so not to do too many ...
Currently thinking I'll make another pair with the stars and stripes on the arms, and the use the other cut out bits to do matching ears ie both stripes or both stars...
Anyhow, I ended up cutting out 8 bunnies so somehow I need to finish all 8!
Tis a gloriously sunny morning here and I have flung wide the windows to get the cool air in. We'll be off to ballet and freestlye soon enough (will be taking the mice along as many need eyes). And this afternoon, dd and I are going to a colleagues bday bash: twas a hot tub party, but the hot tub aint playing ball, so she's said she can get the hose out and hose dd down!Dd is planning to take her water gun along and fight back...

Dd got soaked!
But has recovered and is still playing out.
We had a super deep talk on the way back from dance classes. Are all 7 year olds like this: When I'm a teenager I'm not going to be boring like lots of teenagers. I'm going to keep active and do workouts (how many times a week do you do a workout mummy?) and go up the woods.
We moved on to talking about grown-up sized spacehoppers (many thanks to mothernerd for that nugget!) for when she is too big for 'sally'.
And then about work to live and not live to work. She wants to work with children, maybe a ballet teacher, or a 'normal' teacher. Job satisfaction and travel (and working whilst abroad) also featured.
And we ended up thinking about geocaching, something I've only heard about occasionally on here, but which I fancy doing. Probably need a slightly cleverer phone than my current one though, with gps.
All that in 10 mins!!!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hello lovely
Just catching up and think the stars and stripes bunnies ar inspired. Always a hit. You should see the shops around here. All full of 'I love London' despite being in Canterbury. And a tonne of 'New York' and America themed stuff too. :rotfl: they sell though.
Bless DD she sounds like a real thinker. methinks you're going to have some fun teenage years ahead with that one
Sorry for being so quiet. Must do better. xx
