I didnt know this thread existed until just now. Saw a link on the sewing thread for some draughtexcluders and here I am.
Now I have got a serious stash problem. My loft is bursting at the joists, the bedroom is buried, and the sittingroom is practically imploding at the moment.
I recently bought a secondhand embroidery machine, the software and scanner via ebay, and have spent £750!.
So now I need to make things and make the money back, and more.
I started a small sewing business last April. I work for a few days a week, creating Recycled clothing for a Recycling company in Northampton, but I have just lost a day a weeks wages, and along with the end of a back to works credit income, I NEED TO MAKE TO SELL!.
I think that a challenge to make 500 things before I spend anymore money is a great idea.
I may have to purchase the odd zip/ or similar when I am working for clients, but for my self a Stash Busting time is a MUST.
So I would love to join you all.
I realise this has been going for a few months, and I havent got the time to go back and read all the entries, (I need to be making during that time dont I), but I hope to get to know you all as I go forward. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Hi Mooloo and Florenceem, welcome to the forum, as tattycath says, the more the merrier!
I've been busy again today, although not as much as yesterday. Today I have pricked out 8 notelet cards, ready for a Christmas present. I'd rather be making things than doing housework anyway!

Loving your list loopychriss. Very impressive.
This afternoon I was looking through some Christmas cards we received (Christmas just gone) and trying to think what I could do with them-it's a shame to just throw them away. After looking through your list (not boring at all), I've decided to make some gift tags.
I should make some Christmas cards too-I keep saying I will but rarely get round to it. Maybe I should start by making my mum a Mother's Day card.As well as making a start on my curtains.

Yes, you can set a target from today.
My first target is 50 and so far I've done 13/50.
Once I've completed my first 50 I shall set another target-as if truth be known I probably have enough fabric etc to do 500 things!
My target is in my signature so I can keep track.
You can set your target at whatever you want or feel comfortable with.
I'm sure craftingmad will add you to the list when she gets a minute.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Thank you, although my list is long, I have crossed off some projects I wanted to do as it's not realistic to think I can achieve all of them.
Yes, you could make Christmas tags.... they're really easy if you're using the old Christmas cards, and it might be easier to make them now while there's no pressure to get them done, like there would be a week or two before Christmas! I might start making Christmas cards too, just one or two a week, then I won't be in an almighty panic come the 1st December.
If I were you I'd get the curtains finished first if they're the most urgent thing on your list - will also make the biggest dent in your stash as they will be made and hung up.
Hmmm, Mother's Day.... hadn't thought about that. Might have to buy my mum a card as I've not got much imagination for card making at the moment...Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Thanks for your wise words. Yes, the curtains are the most important thing to get done, and the card for my mum.
After which I'll do the gift tags and then the Christmas cards.
If/ when I get them done I'll try to put photos up.
Maybe I should do a mini challenge for myself to try and get curtains, card and gift tags done by end of March.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
