HI everyone, I followed Mooloo and Florenceme over. I have a stash of fabric in my cupboard and need to make some bits for a stall in the summer. I have the patterns ready for some bags so need to get my you know what in gear and start making them instead of looking for more fabric.

I also have some ideas for some cushions so I will try to make up a list of what I want to do and them put it on here then I can cross them off as I do them. I think it will get me motivated to get them done then.

I also have some bits to do for the family, my daughter gave me 3 pairs of GD's tights that are too short that she wants me to see if I can cut the feet off and tidy the bottoms so she can wear them under her trousers. That will be a hand sewing job I think although might stitch round the bottoms with the machine to stop them running. Also have a pair of leggings of hers that are a bit too tight on the legs and need a strip down the side, plus the top rides down when she bends over so need to take out the elastic, open up the wide channel and make a new one with some other fabric and put some new elastic in.

    So far list is

Leggings (need some black stretchy fabric first)
    3 pairs tights
Bag out of bird fabric curtains (charity shop find)
Dress for me needs sewing up (cut out already)
Decoupage 2 pairs shoes and 2 bags (have all the bits but not the shoes or bags yet)

    That will start me off.

Hi florenceen and moo loo welcome to the thread . Yes just set a target at what you want , if you want. There are no hard and fast rules. Crafting mad is lovely who runs the thread, she's not strict with us lol, I think my target a bit ambitios but we mini challenged each other

Hi rufusdog nice to see you over here

Loopychris - love the list and the last bit of disposing of ottoman made me chuckle

Tattycathy - the curtains do seen a lot of sewing and I think the machine would work best- but bear in mind I got my machine out to shorten some track suit bottoms and I sewed the legs up so couldn't get them on. Perhaps one of the other girls could give you some pointers. I am trying to see more I want to make a patch work quilt one day.

I made 4 more cards at the weekend, must photograph them. :D
So that's 4 for my total. And I was given a big pile of cards to recycle christmas and birthday so have more cards to do or perhaps I'll màke some tags as suggested. :-)

I also decoupaged some letters (3) to match the coffee tables I did. Was pleased with those

I need some inspiration from somewhere though as my mojo has gone on a bus trip

Yes, craftingmad is lovely, and lenient. :)

I'd like to make a patchwork quilt too, but maybe when I become a more experienced sewer. :)

I am busy working on WBD costume accessories. I don't like glueing and painting - would much rather sew! It has been hard to decide/design the makes - photos when done.

  • Made one item today - a birthday card for my mum. I used Docrafts vintage notes set to do it and used a Tim Holtz fragment and a button cluster charm to make a little charm/keyring as a little extra on there. Signature updated

    Hi all,

I'm back again - sorry for long absence but in my wisdom I decided to try and sort the remaining shed by myself. The good news is that I can now see the back wall and I have found lots of crafty goodies I had forgotten about :) The bad news is that it has also been leaking so lots of things have been ruined and had to be thrown away and I've also hurt my back with all the lifting etc so have been having to rest it as much as possible :(

However I have managed to make one card, one PL page and also made some new price signs for my craft stall (I wouldn't normally count them but they did use up 8 sheets of card and 8 laminating sheets and as my target is so high I thought why not :)

So that's an extra 3 things for my total - it's getting there slowly :)

And now on to comment on the rest of posts - its great that there is so many and new people joining still is fantastic :)
