OK fasten your seatbelts - I'm off:-
tattycath - I am so not surprised that everyone wants a draught excluder - like I said before - they are fabAs for stuffing a friend of mine goes around car boots and picks up cheap pillows, cushions and soft toys which she then uses to stuff her creations - not sure if this will be any cheaper but thought I'd mention it
loopychris - thank you for the congratulations - both my kids are so sporty that you may see them competing in some competition one day - they so don't take after meAs for the stash I think you are right - the only way I would see a dent in the stash is to have a bonfire me thinks - but that is so not going to happen
Well done on being on target and also for making such an indent in the wedding stationaryYou are certainly forgiven the PVA purchase - you are just a crafting machine
susan42 - thank you also for your congratulations for the kids - they are really grateful and touched that so many people careExcited to see your decoupaged letters - I have some hidden in my craft room somewhere bought for exactly the same reason - please post pics so that I am inspired to fish mine out and actually do something with them
I am very impressed about your forthcoming exhibition of paintings - I wish I could draw / paint - I struggle with stickmen. Wishing you lots of luck for the event itself
Well done also for using your silhouette machine - I have both a craftrobo and cricut but hardly ever use them. I must start or else I think I will make myself sell at least one of them
kinski - don't you just love husbandsHope you have managed to get him to fish out the material now
Can't wait to see pics of new dog coat. As for decoupage paper for furniture I think you can use any sort of paper but don't quote me as although I have always had the intention to do something like it I have never got round to it to date

greentiger - I'm glad loopy's list helps you too in the same way it does me
Thank you for your thank you's and the kids say thanks for the congratulations as well
Wow can't wait to see the blanket - it sounds amazing
emslovesmickey - Brilliant to see you back again with another target - if its anything like last time it won't be long til you succeed again - Good luckGlad to hear you treated yourself on your birthday - it should be made law that everyone has to buy or receive something crafty on their special day
loopychris - more invites and morsebags - is there no stopping you?You sooo deserve the computer and tv time
You made me laugh about the cot quilt - I'm still waiting for a cardigan I asked my mum to knit when I was 8 (I turn 40 this year so think it might now be a little on the small side)
panterka - I love Suffolk Puffs (think maybe because I was born in Suffolk - or because they look so pretty) but haven't made any for years. I'm now thinking of looking at my fabric stash and possibly making some to adorn bags, brooches, hairbands etc. Thank you
wit40iwtwan - Well done - I will update your score as soon as I finished updating the thread - promise
chirpycheap - sounds like you have had a productive week even with everyday life - Well done
ziggy2407 - Those pictures are amazing. Hope you are feeling a little better everyday. I am thinking of you
chiefpossession - Another scarf and hat are fantastic news - well done. As for those fabric squares ready for the blanket - I love them. Can't wait to see the finished articleKeep crafting
tattycath - More draught excluders - well done youI love both of them
And now curtains - I would love to give you advice but know that those are well above my capabilities - good luck

Hello, it is most certainly not too late to join. It's great to have you aboard. WelcomeMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I didnt know this thread existed until just now. Saw a link on the sewing thread for some draughtexcluders and here I am.
Now I have got a serious stash problem. My loft is bursting at the joists, the bedroom is buried, and the sittingroom is practically imploding at the moment.
I recently bought a secondhand embroidery machine, the software and scanner via ebay, and have spent £750!.
So now I need to make things and make the money back, and more.
I started a small sewing business last April. I work for a few days a week, creating Recycled clothing for a Recycling company in Northampton, but I have just lost a day a weeks wages, and along with the end of a back to works credit income, I NEED TO MAKE TO SELL!.
I think that a challenge to make 500 things before I spend anymore money is a great idea.
I may have to purchase the odd zip/ or similar when I am working for clients, but for my self a Stash Busting time is a MUST.
So I would love to join you all.
I realise this has been going for a few months, and I havent got the time to go back and read all the entries, (I need to be making during that time dont I), but I hope to get to know you all as I go forward.
Hello and welcome. It's great to have you aboard as well.
Your stash situation sounds so familiar to me. As people have mentioned, I really am not that strict on rules and regulations - the whole idea of this challenge is to craft and have fun whilst trying to use some of your crafty stash.
I look forward to getting to know you too

loopychris - wow that list is getting more crossed off every week - well done you
I'm never inclined to keep my house clean and tidy - crafting is far more important
tattycath - I made tags from last years Christmas Cards too - it saves wasting them and puts my crafty urges to good useThank you for reminding me about mother's day. Must get making something special
Go for the mini challenge - you know you want to
Florenceem - You can set a target whenever (or if) you want. I find that having a target helps me to stay motivated and stops me wondering off challenge too much but it is entirely up to you50 sounds like a great figure to me - I shall add you to the challengers list as soon as I have caught up

rufusdog52 wrote: »HI everyone, I followed Mooloo and Florenceme over. I have a stash of fabric in my cupboard and need to make some bits for a stall in the summer. I have the patterns ready for some bags so need to get my you know what in gear and start making them instead of looking for more fabric.
I also have some ideas for some cushions so I will try to make up a list of what I want to do and them put it on here then I can cross them off as I do them. I think it will get me motivated to get them done then.
I also have some bits to do for the family, my daughter gave me 3 pairs of GD's tights that are too short that she wants me to see if I can cut the feet off and tidy the bottoms so she can wear them under her trousers. That will be a hand sewing job I think although might stitch round the bottoms with the machine to stop them running. Also have a pair of leggings of hers that are a bit too tight on the legs and need a strip down the side, plus the top rides down when she bends over so need to take out the elastic, open up the wide channel and make a new one with some other fabric and put some new elastic in.
So far list is
Leggings (need some black stretchy fabric first)
3 pairs tights
Bag out of bird fabric curtains (charity shop find)
Dress for me needs sewing up (cut out already)
Decoupage 2 pairs shoes and 2 bags (have all the bits but not the shoes or bags yet)
That will start me off.
Welcome. I shall add you to the list as soon as I have caught up with the threadIt's great to have you on board
Your makes sound like they will be brilliant. Please keep us updated and post pics.
I would love to be able to alter my clothes but my sewing skills are just not up to the jobMaybe I will just have to try and lay off the Nutella so my clothes fit again
