    I didn't buy anything. :)
Now I just need to start making things with the stuff I've got already.

Massive round of applause tattycath and huge congratulations. Im feeling like a proud mummy again knowing this thread is making a difference :)

Update time from me now :-

I have only managed to make one card but luckily it was my hubbys birthday card as his birthday is today :)

I have also done more shed sorting today and have more plastic boxes full of newly rediscovered crafting stash which I am itching to use. For the moment all "newly discovered" goodies are in shiny new plastic tubs ready to be played with when I have used up what is already in the house - this means it may be some time before I get to play with these goodies as there is already a lot in the house which needs using :)
I have kept a few bits out though including a big pack of scalloped square cards as I had just used the last one in my inside stash and being my favourite shape and size am happy to have found more :)

I have now sorted through my large conservatory and almost finished the largest shed so I will soon be able to see the full extent of my crafting addiction :)

Before I move onto the last shed I have to go through a massive box full of magazines though and cut out the pictures I want for my inspiration book. This may take some time but at least once its done it should take up much less room than the 1000 odd magazines which are in the box :) the old me would have just kept them as they were and never looked at them again - now they will form an inspiration book (s) which should hopefully be used each time I lose my mojo :)

Thank you to everyone on this thread who is keeping me on track and motivating me to keep crafting :)

Keep up the good work :)

Hopefully I'll be back on tomorrow with an update of how many magazines I've hit through :)

I have made some earrings with some old keys I have been 'saving' for ages... They are really cute.

And a card for my sister. Woo hoo 2 more to add to the list...

Hi all. Well my pile of magazines from the shed wasnt as big as I thought as at the bottom of the box was a big pile of patterned papers so an extra bonus for me:)

I sorted through 50 magazines today and cut out bits for my inspiration book. I've still got about the same amount to go through and then the big shed is sorted :) probably wont be able to do much this weekend though as have promised the kids some quality family time :)

I have also managed to stick in some of my cuttings into my inspiration book and have completed 10 pages but as I am classing each book as 1 project rather than each page I still dont have anymore to add to my total.

On thd plus side I am clearing my stash as the 40 magazines took up much more space than the cuttings do now :)

Hope everyone else is enjoying their stash busting and making lovely things :)

  • Well done everyone- I feel inspired every time I read about everyones projects.

I have given away two half completed large cross stitch pictures. I have to be honest with myself and if I haven't completed them in ten years I probably never will!!

I have completed two more mini albums and three scrap booking pages.

A few years ago I made a dragon fancy dress outfit for my sheltie as he was going to a fancy dress party at his training class, as I have loads of fleece I fancied making the same outfit for my bichon but without the hood, the tail or the sticky up bits that are down the back. I thought it might be a good idea to try his outfit on her just to see what size to make her, going by her reaction in the photos below I've decided not to bother :rotfl::rotfl:

Poor wee soul froze and refused to move even after I took the hood down
  • Made the last two mugs today so target reached! did treat myself to a few things from hobbycraft afterwards, and i will be getting some stuff at the end of the month, so as yet i will not set a new target. I will go on record though and say i will not buy any more cross stitch kits till i have finished the ones i've got

I so feel like doing that with some of my unfinished quilting projects!

LOL!!! I don't blame her, sorry..!

Well done on reaching your target.... I can only dream of reaching mine at the moment...

Welcome to all the newbies, glad you're joining us.

I've been quiet for a couple of days on the crafting front as I've been helping OH strip woodchip wallpaper off the stairs and landing and that's been a pain in the butt job. But today I've had a stay in Saturday, and have managed to finish the taggy blanket, and have made 8 morsbags, so I've reduced the fabric stash a little bit.

Have also been going through all my dolls' house magazines - probably got about 200 of them - taking out projects that I am interested in and recycling the rest of the magazine. Not sure if I should count these as decluttering my stash because although they're not actually materials to use up, they are taking up space.

The night is still young, so I may get something else done tonight whilst watching the TV.

Total now 93 out of 500

  • Just had a productive hour and a bit too, and pricked 4 of the designs for the wedding Orders of Service.....

Doesn't change my total though as I'll count them when they are all made up into the finished cards.
