I have managed to get a few little things done this weekend... I have stitched up two pockets for the advent calender... Which is great, but also frustrating as I now only have one to go... I have a couple of things I could do for it, but am unsure if they are right... But hey ho, nearly there at least...
I have attached a load of charms to a bracelet, which i have been meaning to do for over a year... Each of them has special meaning to me, but for example may have been one of a pair of earrings, which i didn't want to throw out.... Dead simple to acheive, but looks quite good...
I have started to make a pendent from a cake slice, that has again been waiting to be done for probably 2.5 years or so... Not finished yet but can't wait to see the finished product...
Three projects to add, and still going. I haven't achieved miracles, but I will get there...
Looking at my project list for the 14 projects I'm not sure how many I will get done quickly, as some of them are quite long winded to get finished... bur i'm not sure which I should do next, as I am chomping to get my teeth into something big, but like the fun of being able to cross stuff off the list... Part of me is tempted to strt the next scarf as it is really chunky wool that will knit up quickly... (well hopefully)...but I still ahve one on the go, I'm just chomping at the bit to get it done... haha

Hi all - sorry for my long absence but I seem to have been pretty busy over the last few days working for my Face Painting Business. I attended my first wedding fair yesterday and came exhausted
Anyway I'm back again now (after just completing my tax return online and depressing myself with just how little I made with my handmade itemsso here we go with another massive catch up
Scrapmate - I LOVE Sizzix dies and really had to sit on my hands during the sale. I think at one weak point I had over £250 in my basket. I managed to be good though and log out without buying anything. Loving your idea about covering unloved papers with inks, stamps, etc. I will definitely be stealing that idea if I mayWell done for finishing your mini album - I still haven't even started my Disney scrapbook yet and we went in April!!!
chirpycheap - I too never seem to get time for normal scrapbooking these days and have just started the project life style of scrapbooking and am so far really enjoying it. Think I may well copy your idea of getting the page kits together for my remaining printed photos so that hopefully it makes it easier for me to get scrapping and using up my stash - thanksHappy belated birthday
and what a lovely present for your work collegue
Also loving the idea of giving mini albums as presents (I've had loads lying around for ages so might well make them for relatives I don't see very often. My MIL was only complaining to me yesterday that she never gets pictures of the kids
FR_262 - hooray for half a sock
keepcalmandcraft - well done for tidying - I did try earlier in the challenge but to look at my craft room now you really wouldn't know it!! More pom poms - I WANT to make pom poms
Elizabeth Braun - hello, welcome and thank youDo you want to join us? We have lots of cross stitchers amongst our happy, crafty band

emslovesmickey - I love guilt free crafty shopping tripsI'm dreaming of one right now
I was going to ask about the clapperboard pendant but it know all makes sense (and sounds fab
I'm also loving the idea of a cinema party
nimbo - I LOVE the hair slides - well done you (not only on the hairslides but also making something from a magazine - I've got thousands and don't think I have ever actually got around to making anything from one of them yet!!!!) I've got lots of wide grograin ribbon in my stash that I never know what to use it on and I also have my daughter craving new hair accessories so think you may have inspired me for a new stash busting project. Really must get organised too and make my valentines day cards for hubby and kidsYou are putting me to shame with all your super makes and I'm loving them all
chiefpossession - LOVE the pig hat and can't wait to see the owl one (I'm a bit obsessed with owls - ask my kidsGreat to see you thinking about another list already
craftyc - it does not matter how you do it - your still destashing which is great and 6 more projects is absolutely fab - well done youWhat cricut machine have you got - I would love to be able to cut fabric with mine but its the little one with a 6 x 12 cutting mat

Forgot to put my update - DOH but as the last post was so long decided to add it all by itself
Since last update I have made 8 friendship seed packs (basically a cardboard seed packet saying friendship seeds and filled with wild flower seeds - very simple but a good seller at craft fairs) and 27 magnets. These are printed from my computer and then embellished by me using ribbon, glitter, sequins etc.
So another 35 items for me taking me to 165/ 2014
Thank heavens for all of you to keep me focused. 2014 seems a lot of items away at the momentMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Craftingmad, well done for restraining yourself on the Sizzix dies. I spent £30 which considering almost £7 was P+P was not too bad. I did delete several items from the cart before I checked out.
The revamped paper idea is not mine - I have done swaps on other forums where we all decorate an old 12x12 sheet that we don't like and then cut into 9 squares of 4" each. Then they get swapped out and we get 9 different squares back which can be put together like a patchwork quilt or made into a book.
I love your craft fair ideas - the seed packets sound wonderful. I think you're doing very well towards your target of 2014.Use your stuff challenge 50/500 -
Well I finished the pendent, and i am quite proud of it... the cake slice I think is from 1937 - but it was looking very sorry for itself...
I took the decorated end of it, and shaped it, hoping to keep the cut shape in keeping with the geometric design... not doing too badly, just need to show the same dedication to the rest of the bits that were in the drawer... hahaha

I have a confession to make.
I have bought something.
In my defence I didn't have the colour I needed.
Promise I'll make something and try and post pics- within the next month.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi craftingmad and everyone else,
I am embarrassed to admit that I have 3 cricut machines.
The imagine to print and cut .
The expression 12 x 12 which also takes 12 x 24 mat
And the small 6 x 12 one to take to class.
You can cut fabric shapes or letters on any of them. You just need to back the fabric with thermabond adhesive before cutting. It is like heavy duty wundaweb that stabilises fabric so it does not fray on cut edges. Then stick to mat leaving on the backing paper and cut as normal.
It makes cricut so much more versatile.0
