  • Sorry Ive not been around for a while. I made 5 Christmas crackers (on Christmas eve) and I have also just completed a crocheted Granny Square blanket.
I have one knitted toy that just needs teeth sewing on (but I cant find my felt anywhere!) and a knitted teddy that is getting a knitted jumper so my total will soon be in the double figures.
    Hurray! :)

wow - loads of progress again since my last update - well done everyone.

Its also great to still see new people joining all the time - we are nearly at 50 participants now :) Its also good to know I am not alone when it comes to craft hoarding :)

A peppermint pattie I think is the American name for them but I didn't really know what else to call them. Basically they are peppermint cream round chocolates which are decorated up by sticking two circles of card onto them and then decorating the circles. They are nothing special but I thought they might be a nice little addition to my craft fair item offerings. If not at least I can eat them as I LOVE chocolate almost as much as crafting :) I'll try and post a picture of them on my blog soon (as long as you all promise not to laugh :)

Well I am pleased to announce that I have now filled my felt teddy full of rice and sewed up its bottom so I now have a lovely little heat pack teddy bear and another item to add to my stash busting total :)

crafting mad - I do a similar thing with elizabeth shaws chocs, they are always well received

    puds

well done on the teddy, not sure about his bottom though :-)

nimbo - cant see the plates being a problem as they`re for presents. And I wouldn't count free stash as you`ll have to use your stash to make things with them :-)

Well I have finished the assignment (sound quality disappointing, but I am beyond caring haha)... And while taking time out at the shop buying milk for my endless coffees I may have pulled the zipper bit of my purse - meaning I of course had to make myself a new one...

Sorry they're not pictures but the links work, I don't know how to add them as pics...

I'm pleased with the outcome, and will whip up a few as gifts... Haha - i'm pleased i am managing to get some crafty bits done... But I need to focus on the bleeding scarf... I do manage to get a few rows done at once, but I feel as though the ball of wool will never end... It's about 2 foot long bow though, so recognizable as a scarf now at least... I had hoped to get it done by the weekend, but no such luck (I'm aiming for the end of the month now)...

    There will be great!! haha

Didn't make much today as I slept in until 10.30 (didn't sleep much last night), and then had to help hubby with some wallpaper stripping. So tonight while watching TV I covered the 2 remaining wooden hearts with buttons for my granddaughter, and have started sticking buttons onto a framed mirror that I'll be keeping. Hopefully I will declutter the 3 hearts made for my granddaughter when I take her home!

Been looking at my list of projects to get done this year..... it seems to grow each day. Daughter came round today to discuss wedding and I'm now down for making the table centrepieces and favours! Going to make sweet trees with Ferrero Rocher chocolates, so they'll be the table decorations and then guests can help themselves to the chocs later. So, 5 large ones and 4 smaller ones for the top table!

    Total: 64 out of 500

  • Took a break from stitching this morning to make some toppers for gift bags and lollipops for my birthday next month. (Sucks to be 30 has gone on the lollipops). Didn't take long and i'm counting each set as one so thats now 22 out of 50. Have updated my signature

    hi fellow crafters :)

susan42 - I love the Christmas puds - they are exactly like what I make but yours are much nicer :)

FR_262 - I promise I will post pics on my blog and provide links as soon as I can - sorry :(

nimbo - love the purse - you are very talented :) I'm sure the scarf will be amazing once you have done it and at least you are now working it again :)

loopychris - I think I will now call you the button heart queen - you are on a roll :) And now you have made me want a Ferrero Rocher :)

emslovesmickey - loving the lollipop idea - I turn 40 this year so may well be adapting these if you don't mind :)

Well I managed to make 29 sets of hair clips last night. I love making them as they are so quick, sell really well and use up lots of little bits from my stash :)

So my stash busting total now stands at:-

    130 / 2014 :)
    Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.02
  • Wonderful projects everyone. I love the little Christmas puds - I used to help the boys make something similar on a larger scale as cards. I love that purse it looks really stylish.
Once again I have fallen off the wagon and caved in and bought some dies in the Sizzix sale :( (I know I'm useless at this). I went through the final list very carefully and removed some items even though they were at amazing prices.
On a better note my mini album is coming along nicely. I'm using up a small album I bought in TK Maxx last year for £1. I've been meaning to put together a little souvenir of our trip to Blackpool last May and seeing all the activity here pushed me into doing it instead of thinking about it..
