I tried to place the picture here but only got the link.

This is my quilt called Heart of a Nation. It looks finished but it's not. It's got lots of loose threads.

Ooooh so jealous, I am about to crack on and get something done, but all of the projects are looking good. (I have to get a university assignment added to as well in the time too)...

I would like to get two pockets for my advent calender done this weekend, I have discovered another cardigan to mend (only a few stitches have come undone on the pocket, but it would be good to get it done). I have also started to cut out a bird shaped pincushion... Now just to find the time to get it started...

Hello all. Only just found this board. Yesterday I made a case for my new tablet. Lined it with pink velvet, did the outside with some woollen tartanish stuff which is green cream taupe and pinky red. Very chuffed as all from stash. Thinking of doing aponcho with taryan stuff. A huge length I get for £3 in a charity shop. My sewing machine came back from repair last week and it sews just as it did when new. I feel whole again. :-)

Hello and welcome - sorry not been on before to welcome you properly but it's great to see that you are already into the swing of it - and what a bargain - tartan material for £3 - as they say in Essex - I'm well jel!!!!

Thank you for all letting me off the coaster purchase - as soon as I make them I promise I will show you. It probably won't be until later in the year though as I'm going to make calanders out of them :)

loopychris - I've made a start on the button heart (actually found a small papier mache one which I have painted with a base coat and covered with first a generous helping of PVA and then some lovely pearlised buttons I found lurking in my stash. Not sure I like it yet but I'm hoping it will look better once it's dried :) As for giving stuff away it's entirely up to you - I know I won't be faced with this problem as the idea of giving up my stash brings me to tears :)

lmb4wc - wow - well done - I really should sort out my craft things again but as I said above the idea of giving it away at the moment is a step too far for me :)

susan42 - thanks for all your encouragement and support - as to things to make for the craft fair I would take a peak on pinterest (for research purposes obviously - although if you are like me you bwtter pencil in about 4 hours :) As for white trousers I'm afraid with two little un's and a bottom the size of a large planet I have to say I have not been looking. Good luck with your search though :)

craftyc - thanks for the rice tip - it has inspired me to sew a little teddy bear with the intention of filling with rice as a sort of heat pad to keep us cozy during these cold months :)

Well, my positive outlook today has seen me make 1 morsbag and sewn 11 more flags for the bunting, and it's not even 11 o'clock yet! I've also sprayed 3 little wooden hearts gold ready to have buttons attached, and I'll start one of those when the paint is dry. Really feel like I can make a dent in the stash today....

    Total: 50 out of 500

    You go girl xxxx

Hi managed to stash bust by making up a scrap kit with 13 sheets of paper, cricut cuts and ribbon paper clips with cruise theme for a lady who wanted to scrap her hol and she donated £3 to epilepsy charity.

So good news busted stash though didn't have time to craft myself.:)

Love this idea and will be following suit. Even if I don't sell them it should hopefully make scrapbooking a lot easier for me and use up my stash at the same time - thanks xx

Kinski - I WANT a heart pom pom maker :) Please post lots of pics of your makes so I can justify getting one (after all it is a great way of using up all my wool stash :)

susan42 - love the cards and posted the same on your blog - beginning to wonder weather to grab back some of the gift tags I made now :)

chirpycheap - I love it - its very personal and looks way better than the one I have just tried to make :)

tattycath - well done on resisting :)

craftyc - think it may be time to try and find all the old gift bags I have been hoarding in my craft room and turn them into useful items again. Another great idea - thanks :) Well done on trying to finish all your started projects before anything else - I really should try and take a leaf out of your book :)

maisie M - well done - crafting, stash busting and no spending all in one day - your putting me to shame :)

MrsBones - I agree - I love YouTube - there really are videos on there for almost anything :) As for the wool - it was free and if you have a project in mind then in my eyes that is perfectly acceptable - lucet away :)

scrapmate - keep knitting - can't wait to see the finished result - do you think it might inspire my mum to finish the cardigan she has been making for me? Only problem was as she started it when I was 8 years old (and I'm now nearly 40) I don't think it will fit anymore :) WELL DONE ON REACHING YOUR TARGET - another one putting me to shame :)
