Crikey, Saturday night again, time to update my list on here....

Today has been very productive, I've made 4 morsbags and 1 little one for the advent calendar. MaisieM - Wow lucky you - I love stash :) If it's any consolation once I have stash busted the house (which will take a long time in itself!) I have to go through two sheds which I know are full of more of my bits and bobs :)

emslovesmickey - loving the sound of cards with magnet toppers - especially as I've just come across some chipboard cupcake magnets in my stash - thanks for the inspiration and well done on cancelling a craft subscription :)

nimbo - loving your work - wish I had some leather in my stash now :) The pin cushion bought a smile to my face as well - it's soo cute - I think that would inspire me to sew everyday :)

loopychris - wow there is no stopping you - your list is getting shorter every week - big round of applause for you :) And what an honour to be asked to do the things for your daughter's wedding :)

Well I am happy to report that I sewed the 4 bookmarks I had prepped yesterday last night and so can now report that my stash busting total is now:-

crafting mad - congratulations on your first century :j:j:j:T ps whats a peppermint pattie? And I did get lost on pininterest again, should keep off there. :rotfl:

nimbo - love the advent calender:T

loopychris - you seem to be cracking along and grandchildren have to come first:D

emsloves mickey - you prompted to me to look at my mags and I found some lovely free xstitch kits in, so I`ve put them together to have a go

fr262 - that quilt is absolutely gorgeous. If I was sewing a quilt that would be a years project on its own

    I made 6 more cards

Have been cutting old craft books up to downsize my stash and making a scrap book as someone suggested, its very time consuming but have made lots of space. I threw some books out after attacking with scissors but have now decided to photocopy the parts I want and leave the books intact to take to the OAPs library in the community centre, left some there last week and they`re gone so the interest is there

Hope you all have a productive week and HI to anyone I missed out and thank you for the comments on my blog , very kind of you to take the time :)

craftingmad - I've been wondering what a peppermint pattie is too.

I've been so busy working and I've caught this awful cough that's going round.

    So it's just 1/500 so far :)

Yes, I like to be involved!!! I did the invitations, orders of service, menu cards and thank you cards for my eldest daughter in 2007, so I'm glad to be doing something towards youngest's as well. I did make 'save the date' cards last year, but she won the wedding package in an auction and that included invitations. Still, I'll have enough to do with the bunting, thank you cards and orders of service!

Love your cards Susan. Yes, grandchildren come first, although all he wants to do is watch Mr Tumble on TV! He is nearly 6, but has a chromosome deletion which means that he cannot walk or talk and is the size of a 3 year old. He's a happy child though and is no trouble to look after as long as he's got his DVDs or the TV!

Today I made 3 more notelets towards a set of 8, so that is now 1 set finished. I'll keep these for a gift later in the year (probably the 'C' word that we've all just finished celebrating!!)

Going to watch TV tonight so might start sticking buttons on something...I've got 4 things down here that need buttoning, it's just whether I can get off the computer for long enough to do something!!

  • Hi all

I have made some progress - and the kids are loving it. After a mad lesson where they all drew the designs they wanted, I told them I didn't want to hear any more and they can just be surprised when I bring them in. They have been true to their word and are happy as long as they get them before next Winter (I hope I don't take that long!)

    The list has grown:

    [STRIKE]2 x reindeer hats[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]scarf[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]scarf[/STRIKE]
    scarf
    owl hat
    [STRIKE]dinosaur hat[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Santa hat [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]tractor hat [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]red and blue scarf[/STRIKE]
    pig hat
    sheep hat
    fox hat
    minion hat
    panda hat
    rabbit hat
    another scarf

so that is 8/17 done. Woohoo!

Another kit gone so that's 2/45 done and I have managed to finish cross stitching the bits for 6 cards so just need to make them up now and that will be them ready for using.

Will do my elephant valentines card next for OH and then I plan to finish off a WIP I have had since last July.

Well no progress here - and maybe a little confession...

I have planned to make plate stands for people, and went shopping to get the required rest of the plates (not counted for the stash, as they will be gifts for birthdays) and my boyfriend may have talked the MIL into letting me play with her sissix machine... So although I have spent no money (well bought the OH an anniversary gift), but I have come home with extra bits for the stash - BUT they were free as I used the MIL's stash to make them... I even resisted the lovely little wooden shapes that were literally pennies.... I will be strong, but I may also be dropping hints that I want one for my birthday - in April, so he should have time to get the idea...

  • Decided to make some more morsbags instead of sticking buttons on, so another 3 to add to the list of finished items.
