Me again. I had really good intentions yesterday that the kids and I were going to have a crafty day but then theyvspeant modt of the night before throwing up and accordinglh didnt want to do much other than watching tv and having cuddles.

I did however make 8 matchbook notepads as stock for my craft fairs when I have booked them for the year. Never made them before but really quick and easy and they cost pence to make :) will try and get pics posted on my blog once kids back at school tomorrow.

    So I'm now up to 10/2014 :)

Craftyc - loving the sound of the air freshners. Ive got a cricut machine but not an imagine. I NEED one of them now :)

Chiefpossession - come on, you can do it :) the idea of crocheted eyes sounds good to me. :)

Susan42 - love the cards. Really must get on making some more :)

Loopychriss - well done. Your total seems to increase every day :)

Dallam20 - my brain is like that everyday :) wish I would be disciplined enough to put things back after each session but I must just be to creative to be tidy (or lazy!) :)

Finally managed to finish a sticker sheet. You can see the results here. Thanks for the idea of using a whole sheet in one go. It felt good to throw something out rather than put it away.

I don't post a lot cause I can be very lazy at doing things but I'm just about (I hope) to get rid of a lot of my wool stash :T, before Christmas I got a pom pom maker and I've made quite a few which I hung on the Christmas tree. I was looking around to see what else I could make and I came across a rug made out of them so I've sent away for a large pom pom maker and I'm going to make a rug for my grandbrats room, I know it means I've spent but a pom pom maker takes up a lot less room than my wool mountain.

Susan42 - lovely cards, thanks for letting us see them.

Scrapmate - your cards reminded me that I have some PB Stickeroos in the stash... somewhere!!!

So, I'm sitting here, enjoying a cuppa, and about to start making some cards - need to get in front with these as part of my plan to be more organised. Seriously though, really do need to keep to the plan and avoid those last minute panics (although they do say that if it wasn't for the last minute then nothing would get done!).

I need to focus on finishing the cards today so that tomorrow is clear to make a start on making some dresses for DGD (she'll be 5 on 24 January) and also a new outfit for her dolly.

Hope you all have a good week and make good progress towards your individual stash-busting targets.

    Tenth Anniversary
Hi craftingmad and everyone else when I was trying to find out how to fix the ink onto the felt or fabric I came across an article about how to put fabric through a normal printer on a carrier sheet. Would be a much cheaper option than imagine. Also not tied to images then.you could try.:)

Everyone seems to be very busy have been reading all posts.

Did 2 projects of 52 yesterday and managed to clear something off my desk too. I had embossed a christmas tree on polka dot on wrong side so ended up debossed. Of course no use for the card I was making at time. Was on craft video and someone was scraping crackle
Distress paint with a credit card across debossed card... So used this technique with white paint end result looked like snow on the tree was better looking than the embossed sanded back version!

Happy accident forced to try a new approach rather than bin a precious piece of paper. LOL
  • :TThanks for all the inspiration!:T

Susan 42- Love the cards. It reminds me that I have a box full of pre stamped images (mostly Magnolia) waiting to be used up!

Kinski- Do you have the pom pom maker shown on Kirsty's Homemade Christmas. Must admit to a yearning to buy one!

Scrapmate- Your cards are lovely. I have exactly the same stickers and I have to say that they look much nicer made into cards than they do sitting on a sticker sheet.

Loopy Chriss- I really admire people who make miniatures. I tried it years ago but was rubbish. If I wrapped some twine around a bottle cap and added some twigs it would look exactly like a bottle cap covered in twine with sticks and not a log basket!:rotfl:

I decided to try the button idea on some wooden hearts that have been hanging around. I started off well using the glue gun but halfway through the glue ran out. The problem with having a mountain of stuff is that it's hard to find anything. I have searched everywhere for glue sticks to no avail-so only half a decorated heart so far!

Pleased however with one completed project. I needed a new calendar and was going to wait until they were reduced in price but then I remembered a freebie calendar I had from the Sainsbury's magazine. The paper was a bit cheap but I decided to cover the recipe pictures with scrap booking papers and photographs of my family. I now have a lovely personalised calendar.:D

thank you all for the kind comments about my cards

craftyc - love those fresheners and most things in craft are finded by accidents, accounts for lots of my craft lol

scrapmate - I love those cards you have made on your blog using a stickers, seem to collect stickers and not use them

kinski - i also like the theory you have f having to buy a pompom maker to reduce your woolstash, wonder how I can adapt the principle to something i want lol

silverbird - i am in aw of you making dresses for your 5 year old. I have to wait until end of week for friend to travel 200 miles to rethread my machine for me. I'm on straight lines at the moment

craftingmad - ty for starting this challenge I`m really enjoying myself

  • Craftingmad - thank you, and yes I agree a bigger house will mean I have more room to stash more stuff!!!

I've started on a rag rug today, black & red velvet, I hope to get it finished next week, but my hands are playing up today so will have to stop for now.

I got a Sizzix big shot just before Xmas that I've still not tried. I want to get some nice card as I have a project in mind but as I've said I'm not going to buy anything craft related until this stash is all used up I think I'll try painting some white card instead! I have the paints, the brushes and the card, sounds like a plan.

Chirpycheap it was the pom pom maker from Kirsty Alsop's programme, I bought them from hobby craft. I'm making a scarf for one of my granddaughters out of a bit of Christmas fleece I have left over from making cushion covers and a dog coat and I'm shoving some of the pom poms on the ends. I'd love to be able to make some of the things in this page but it'll never happen http://blog.mrprintables.com/how-to-make-animal-pom-poms/. I've just asked my daughter to order me a heart shaped pom pom maker :embarasse, I don't have a pay pal account so she does it fur me.
