Managed to finish the button-covered picture frame today, so that's one more project off the list. Will give it to a friend next week as a gift, so it will be decluttered out of the house as well. Also made one notelet card towards a set of 8 that I want to give as a Christmas gift (for next Christmas!). So that's 2 more items finished..... every little helps!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

I was very good today. I went shopping with a friend and her kids as they got vouchers to spend for Christmas and we were in Accessorize and whilst they were looking around I wandered to the broken jewellery rack and was looking through it and before I realise it I had four bags in my hand. As soon as I came to my senses I put them all back and said "No" out loud to myself in the shop! I have so many beautiful beads in my room I need to use them up and not buy any more until...June (my birthday treat to myself is to go bead shopping in Covent Garden and make myself something pretty).Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650

I love Covent Garden for beads..0

Sorry I haven't been posting for a bit - I've been busy with other things. So far I've been pretty good in the craft sales buying a Sizzix dies and stamp set, an embossing folder that goes with it, an alpha strip die, a stencil and 1 (yes only 1) stamp, you can see it here. Not bad for £22 I think.
Last night I found a sheet of Penny Black stickers (untouched) that I've had for years. I've taken on board the advice on here about using up the whole sheet in one go and have almost finished it. I will blog the cards when they're done.Use your stuff challenge 50/500 -

I only let myself go twice a year to Covent Garden or I'd spend all of my non-existent money there! I also give myself a strict budget, only take cash and leave the debit card at home. Buying crafty stuff (especially beads) is my only real indulgence so this is going to be a tricky one for me. On the plus side I'm going to see my Mum soon and she has far more crafty stuff then me and she always gives me a bag of things to take away! :jGrocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650 -
Hi I am new to this but would love to join this group as have loads and loads of stash to use! I was an avid crafter - sewing, card making and scrap booking but kids came along and it went on the back burner. Youngest is now 18 months so hoping to get a bit of time in the evenings to do a bit of crafting!
I have joined the 14 projects in 2014 thread and plan to do some xstitch projects first - I want to learn to crochet this year but cant justify any new stuff till I have used some of the old!February GC £181.99 /£200 NSDS 16/28

Hello and welcome Kim,
its great to have you on board. I know what you mean about finding the time to craft. I have two children as well and although they are quite a bit older than yours they are always my priority.
I too want to learn how to crochet this year but like you have so much stuff at the minute that I cannot justify buying anymore. I am also signed up to the 14 projects challenge so looks like we will be meeting a lot (poor you
Do you have a figure in mind for this challenge so I can add it to the start or would you like to start with the 14 cross stitch items first?Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Can I join in too?
I have so much .... boxes of fabric, boxes of knitting wool, boxes of paints, paper, coloured pencils, boxes of ......... "stuff", i.e. ribbons, buttons, pieces of embroidery fabric, card blanks, felt.
Trouble is, I start making something, then start making something else, then something else etc. etc. etc. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has the uncontrollable need to have half a dozen craft projects on the go at once, and I think it's incurable!;)
I live dangerously close to a Hobbycraft, but that is going to change, because we are moving soon, so at the very least, I need to get a bit more organised.
I'm aiming to give myself a year to get enough crafted items together to set up an Etsy page. This week I am knitting hats. And gloves. And painting seascapes. And sewing bags.
Tell me to get a grip, someone!0 -
Today I ventured into town to look at the sales, but there wasn't much that I wanted. However, I did strike lucky in Oxfam, where I picked up a wooden breadbin that I've been after for months (to do a miniature scene in), and a wooden chess set (again, for dolls house use). So I suppose that's adding to my stash in a way, but I will use a lot more of it up making the breadbin room. That's my logic anyway!
I did manage to make another 2 notelets for the first set too. Might do something else tomorrow, fancy a change of craft!!
Total now 43 out of 500Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Hello and welcome, its great to have you on board xx
Can I firstly say "get a grip". There I've told you! Mind you I'm probably not the right person as judt like you I always have several projects on the go at a time - I think it's a crafters thing
Would you like me to put a total in the participants list for you to help motivate you and keep you on track? Just let me know and I'll add it.
In the meantime keep crafting everyoneMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020
