Hi everyone- great to see so much stash busting on here!
I had a busy run up to Christmas and made from stash
88 Christmas cards
2 birthday cards
I canvas for my nan
4 calendars and bags for Christmas gifts
So that is another 95 makes!
Wonderful Husband got me a screen printing kit for Christmas so I can use lots of my stash with that! Need a bit of a break now though!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Pleased to report that I managed to make 54 assorted Christmas cards and 6 small gift boxes on the run-up to Christmas and have also finished sewing a skirt earlier today. So, that's 61/500 completed!!!
Christmas cards were in the quick 'n' easy style as I was feeling totally uninspired due to bronchitis but at least I managed to complete them.
Cards for grandchildren (age 4 and 2) are left and centre on the bottom row, with money wallet cards for their cousins on the right.#Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain #We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us #If you focus on what you have left behind, you will never see what lies ahead - Gusteau/RatatouilleGC 2022: £0/£2,500 total spend0 -
Sorry about MIA but like you all we been indulging in the Xmas festivities
I am enjoying it, but have a cold that gone onto my chest which is :-(
Yesterday I sneaked away for an hour and made 5 crackers and 5 pots of gold as we decided to do Xmas day again. Enjoyed the first one so much.
Had a few crafty items for Xmas which are great but I am determined to use more and not buy anything. So I'm setting myself a mini challenge not to buy any craft items apart from glue / sticky fixers in 2014, should make for some very entertaining cards.
Silver bird / love the cards and the box
Jellie - great totals and lucky you on the screen kit, can't wait to see what you have made
Chirpy cheap - heaven £40 worth of hobbycraft vouchers
Toonie- every time I use my big shot I think I'm going to break it :-/ it makes such a noise with the plates going through.
I also decided not to renew my subscription to the silhouette store, I have over a 1000 files and really am only getting new ones as each months subscription lasts 2 months. I am going to go through all the files and save them to disc as last time I decided not to renew it wouldn't let me have the files I had purchased . Said I needed a subscription to access them. I'll save them all as different names /descriptions, see if that works.
Hope you've all had / having a good Xmas and

anyway 10/35 knitted up .. I shall continue with Pixie's jumper and see if I can get that finished while waiting for the next 2 balls to arrive.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Over the last couple of days I've made four gift tags for birthday presents, a birthday card and a bookmark made from some hemp string and some flower beads which I put inside the birthday card for my friend yesterday. I took a photo of the card and once I can find my mini USB cable I will upload it.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650

You are all starting to put me to shame with all your making - well done everyone - it is lovely to know that this thread is inspiring people to "use up" their goodies. It really does seem to be keeping me on the straight and narrow
I'm still working on a list of things I need/want to make but having also subscribed to the 14 projects in 2014 thread I can't seem to get the feeling that I want to increase my target figure to 2014!!!! I must be mad but for some reason I have a feeling I may be able to do it (and most of my stash really does need using up - I have so much that I don't even think 2014 items will make much of a dent in it!!!!).
I'm thinking that each project life and/or scrapbooking page I do will count as 1 item and some of the 2014 items will be very quick to make, like cards & gift tags etc, so it might be do-able. I know I will have to purchase some essentials along the way like adhesives etc but the majority of the items must be made using my existing stash.
What do you all think - should I go for it?Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

Definitely!! I did the 13 in 2013 and managed 18, but they were all knitting and cross stitch. Signing up for the challenge really pushed me to finish all the UFO's languishing in cupboards and drawers.Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -
Hi crafting mad - I'll have a go at 2014 with you if you want to give it a go. I hope to move house this year. Fingers crossed and have some serious decluttering to do. So having a goal would help I feel. I have had a break for Xmas but will crack on in the new year hopefully
You all seem to be doing well with the challenge. And I think by using up my stash I will save money as well
I'm also going to sort my clothes out too. I'm fed up of hanging onto things in case I'll need them. Wonder how much money I'll save not buying anything and decluttering as wellChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

Thanks susan - ok lets go for it together
I'm sure I an saving a small fortune already by thinking before I buy. I used to be a real impulse buyer when it came to crafting goodies but now I really am thinking to myself that I really don't need it as I have so much already :-
I like you really need to destash as it really is in every room of the house so hopefully the large target will get me motivated and clear some rooms of my "goodies".
Good luck xxxMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020
