OK time for me to 'fess up... I have had a very hectic few weeks with very little time for crafting but I have made a few cards and tags which I will tot up soon. However I have fallen victim to temptation with the numerous carrots/offers that have been around over the past few weeks. Some stamps (4) I've had my eye on since last year were on offer and a Tim Holtz alphabet die which I wanted was also on offer (another small die also happened to fall into my basket too). I am sitting on the naughty step as I write this...
Oh dear never mind Scrapmate. I'm sure that my willpower will crack very soon what with all the bargains which will be floating around very soon
How about to justify it you make something using the stamps and dies - that way they were worth the purchase in the first placeMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I've made 2 Christmas Cards using cards, embellishments & sentiments I have had for ages (think the 8 x 8 cards and sentiments were some of my first purchases from Craftwork Cards on QVC so that's years ago!) and the glittery bauble embellishments I used on them were bought reduced from Mackro for not last Christmas but the Christmas before!!!
However with some simple embossing, ribbon and cream cardstock I think the cards look very stylish, elegant and right up to date. I'll try and take pics soon but need to post one off tomorrow to the in laws in Wales
I now have my parents staying ready for spending Christmas with us, so don't think I'm going to get many more chances to craft much now until 2014Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Made another 3 Christmas cards today, that's the extent of my craftiness I'm afraid. Should have more time to reduce the stash after Christmas when I've not got as many pressing engagements. I've got so many projects I want to do that I don't know where to start!

Lol at scrap mate - fessing up
The sales are brilliant , my idea is to delete the email and not look. I tell myself I'm too busy.
Have not been papercrafting the last few days. I am trying to get a stocking bucilla done for OH . I'm a dreadful sewing person . I'd love to do it but just can't no matter how much I try. I got a machine and a book bought last Xmas or the one before gathering dust
Crafting mad - well done on emptying your basket look at the money you saved :-)
Loopy chris - see your list getting smaller , well done
Well done lequirk - all those offers on don't know how you resisted :-)
Your all doing so well, hope to do something today, have hampers to put together and though it's not crafting I'll be able to use up some cello wrap and , make some gift tagsChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
I received an unexpected present yesterday (from a friend who said "let's not do presents this year) so last night I grabbed out my jewellery making stuff and made a necklace and bracelet set for her and have written in her card that she is very naughty but that beads are prettier than a lump of coal! So, that's six items made in total now. Tomorrow afternoon (after going to a Christmas concert) I will hopefully get time to make some jewellery for another friends birthday.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650

So, I have just made a short list.....
- Finish lighthouses
- Paint/dye glass jars and bottles, decorate
- Make letters for wall
- Make three new lampshades using thread and/or doilies
- Make paper flowers
- Make new patchwork skirt
- Dye tea towels
- Bleach & dye hand towels
- Make magnetic coupon holder for fridge door
- Gloss spray covered plant pots
- Decorate soap pump dispenser and gloss spray
- Make candles
Think its good to have a list – I use one for all other things at home, so makes sense to do it for crafting too, especially when you are as disorganised as I am
Am finishing off 2nd lighthouse this morning – just painting the top bit and that’s done, 3rd one is base painted – needs top bit layering with papier mache and then painting, 4th one is first layer papier mache’d. Am aiming to have them finished by Saturday evening, so fingers crossed!

Today's achievement was making 4 scarves out of a fleece blanket. I am friends with a Community Warden who is going to be working at a homeless shelter on Christmas Day and needs hats, gloves and scarves to give out. So I cut up a spare fleece into four lengths and just fringed the edges. Very easy: going to help 4 people and reduce my stash a little.

Susan 42: yes, I can see the list getting smaller, very slowly......
Keep up the good work everybody!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Hi everyone.
Well done on all of your progress. I'm liking the idea of a list so may well be thinking of my own very soon me thinks
I have not had time to do any more crafting since my last update but I was in two shops today which sell all the lovely crafty goodies I like and I managed to resist in both of them - think I may be starting to change the way I think about stash as both times my mantra was that "I've got too much already"Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
This is not a very big make, but i just made a small pink envelope made from my card stash, using a cutting die. The envelope is to house the costa coffee gift card i bought for my DD yesterday. As is said, every little helps!0
