Ok.. that's it. I'm IN. <puts hand over heart as she pledges> I, The Cre8tor, (or just Cre8tor for short), promise to join in with the spirit of this thread and (as a starter) promise to make 25 cards - all for Charity. (Julia's House, here in Dorset). I promise to make them from all my stash and not buy another thing (unless it's glue or double sided tape needed to make said cards).
Once I've achieved this total, I'll set another goal. Don't want to scare myself to death all at once! lol
Baby steps. One tiny bit of stash at a time.
.Remember: however thin you slice something, there are always two sides to everything.0 -

Right I shall then start with 25 balls of said yarn (and increase accordingly!)
To date... 3 balls have been done.. though one is going to be half undone as I feel the pattern sizing is not adequate and I need an extra 6-8 rows to make the back shoulder the right size.. I hate adapting patterns it is so time consuming!

Hi definately need to do this challenge.
My first challenge is to finish my two cross stitch WIP as They desperately need done. Then I want to do all the free kits I have which I have collected from magazines.
I don't know how many I have so I will count them and list them later.
Off to hit the shops for last minute bits for xmas presents - not crafting lol.0 -
Hello! I've not read the entire thread yet but I'd love to join in as well. Need to keep motivated to make things and not just spend all my time looking at my pretty beads, papers etc.
I have a variety of creative pursuits including making cards and jewellery, I also love to paint, especially landscapes. I then combine things by making mixed media pictures with bits of everything (generally anything lying on my desk or with arms reach).
I share a house with a friend and in return for her having the very large bedroom, I get two smaller rooms so I have my own craft room too which is fantastic though I've never been the tidiest of people and need to get a handle on that as well.
So as well as reducing my stash (aiming small to start with-25 things) I'm also going to try and organise it better. I have a chest of drawers and two book cases in my craft room and I have a vague idea what is in them but I can't say where anything specific is (apart from the bottom drawer which contains art journals, canvases and notebooks-my other obsession).

May I sheepishly crawl back on the wagon and up my 25 to 35? balls of wool (by easter hopefully)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Okay counted my stash of kits (doesn't include all the charts I want to do!!!)
I have two WIP's and I have 30 christmas kits to do and 45 normal ones - not related to xmas.
So my first target is the 30 Christmas kits and then I will be prepared for next year. Most of these are fairly small as they are Mouseloft ones but some are kits from magazines so are quite a bit bigger.0 -
Sorry guys been away for a long weekend to york and only just got back. It was a treat from my hubbie as he has worked away do much this year so him, i and the kids got to spend three whole days together in the beautiful city of york. I so want to go again as it has some fab indepent shops, beautiful buildings, lovely places to eat at and loads of history. I did however spend an absolute fortune on more Christmas presents. On the plus side though I didnt spend a penny on craft supplies
I'm just about to try and have a proper catch up on the thread but have noticed more people joining so Hello and welcome to all our new stash busters. I will add you all to the list soon.
