Got a 4th one in the bag - decided to use one of my freebies from a cross stitch mag to make a card for our staffing manager at work. She's done a great job covering sickness in our region but it's a thankless task, so i stitched her a little penguin card.0

Susan42 - of course you can buy glues and adhesives - I will certainly need to if I am going to use up all of my stash
Presents for other people are fine as well in my eyes - unless of course you already have the same items unopened in your stash which you could use instead?
Well I have had a productive afternoon today and made 14 more things. I got inspired by a stashbusting challenge at 2 Peas in a Bucket - I love the challenges at this site as I am not tempted to spend anything as it is an American Store whose UK shipping is very high.
Anyway I made 12 Mini Christmas Cards, 1 Scrapbook page and 1 Sleeps to Santa sign.
I hope to load pics onto my blog later (although I still have to load on pics of all the other things I have made as well).
These 14 items have used up 3 stickers, 1 piece of 12 x 12 cardstock, 1 x sheet of 12 x 12 paper, 4 sheets A4 cardstock, 2 die cuts, 1 wooden plaque, 1 chipboard shape, 1 MDF shape and a few letter stickers. Plus I managed to put hardly any bits in my scrap box - I worked on the principal of using up all scraps of paper until it was gone. It was a very nice and refreshing change so thank you to whoever it was that suggested this idea xxxMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Susan42. I have finished my womble but already wrapped it. If I can figure out photobucket I will post a picture after it has been unwrapped.
I want to take a photo of the Dalek I knitted DD for her birthday so I will take one of the womble at the same time.0 -

You knitted a dalek? Cool! I cross stitched a Dr Who fairisle sampler earlier this year0 -

:rotfl:Susan 42-maths is not my strong point and yes I am counting in the wrong direction so it is actually 22/500:rotfl:
Today I got a bag of 40ish teeny labels and stamped 'happy birthday' and 'Thank you' on them. Haven't actually used them up but it will mean they are more likely to be used up and will save me buying any more sentiments. I will count it as one project (23/500)
I really need to get some knitting done and use up some of the woo; that I have hanging around!:eek:Stashbusting 2019 - 230/3000 -
Hope everyone's OK!
Just a quick progress report ~ ball no. 3 has now been used up but I've switched from knitting to sewing for a bit as I now have to sew up all the hot water bottle covers I've knitted. Aim is to sew up one a night through to the weekend, then knit up some remaining yarn into little squares to make knit / crochet patchwork covers for the final two covers, that way some of the stash "ends" get used up too!
The other good news is that I have totally resisted making any new yarn purchases (I would have added that challenge to my signature too, but I seem to have run out of room!)Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hi, just popping out of "lurkdom" to say thank you to Rosalie-lavendar for the dalek pattern. I've saved the pattern for future use.
Will have to read back and see how your challenge on using stash is working. As some of you know (I recognise some of you frkm eleswhere on MSE) I cross stitch and dabble at sewing. However, over the years I've made cards, jewellery and scrapbooking. I have a craft room, its actually the spare room, which is overflowin. I have an Ikea Pax wardrobe full, 2 large Billy bookcases with boxes on full of "stuff" and an Ikea Norden table with all 6 drawers full.
Anyway thats a short introduction to my stash. I'll go and look at the start of the thread and the rules now.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
