Chirpy cheap - well done on starting your crafting into your stash total. Love your craft room , so organised - I won't post a picture of mine. Think tip , things all over the floor , you'll get the feeling.
I can't remember who posted tip about using all of a topper sheet but it worked for me today . Made 14 cards today. And yesterday made 7 , so that's 21 to add to the total and 4 christmas coasters . I'm also staying off the computer until later in the evenings so that gives more time to craft :-)
Baking day tomorrow. Need to make a pudding of some kind. Some small cakes and a cooked dinner . So not sure if I get any crafting doneChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Hi there - sorry I haven't checked in since my original post but We have had an inspection at school and I haven't had any time.
Please put me down for 8 pieces - 6 scarves and 2 reindeer hats. I should finish one of the hats tomorrow so I will try and post a picture then. I think I will have to aim for finished pieces rather than balls of wool - and the orders from year 10 may increase anyway.
My fellow teachers think I am mad, but I enjoy the knitting more than anything.Stash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0 -

I currently have a box room filled to the ceiling with 'stuff', If you want to see my room in its full glory

What I don't admit to is the wardrobe full of wool and a chest full of fabric!
I recently managed to go to the NEC Hobbycrafts show and only purchase some double sided tape. I must admit to some recent little purchases at the Range and a car boot sale. I have a Washi tape addiction and I cannot leave paints, pens and markers alone!
My target is 500 items with the following 'get out' clauses:
1) I have asked for vouchers to my local craft shop for Christmas so I will be spending my voucher money.
2) I do a lot of Art Journalling/Scrapbooking so I will count each page that I complete as one item.
3) I will limit any spending to absolute necessities (glue and tape)
I also promise that I will use up some of the lovely 'special' stuff that I have and never use because I am scared of ruining the loveliness of it!
Wow!! What a great craft room you have Chirpycheap! And SOO tidy too. I love your organisation and am mega jealous of those metal drawers you rescued from a skip. I've wanted some of those for about four years but I know I'll never obtain them unless I win the lottery. They're so expensive, and I'm never around those skips when great stuff gets lobbed into them.
Your post has given me an idea... Maybe we should have a 'My Craft Room' thread, where we can post pictures of our craft rooms.
I keep coming and reading this thread and I get the greatest amount of guilt feeling from it. I'm a little bit like Battybird - I squirrel stuff away and because it's SO lovely I just can't bear to use it. I don't know what it is. It's such a silly bit of stupidity which lives inside me. I think maybe it's a bit of a scared feeling that if I use it then I won't have it anymore and then what will I do??? (eeek!)
Should seek psychological help!
ROFL.
.Remember: however thin you slice something, there are always two sides to everything.0 -
Here is the first reindeer hat. (I hope this picture loads ok - never done one before

Hi Meg72 - I sort of made it up with inspiration from the http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/deer-with-little-antlers-hat and http://grandmotherspatternbook.com/?p=5907.
I bought the Stephanie Dosen pattern, but I hate knitting on dpns and wanted to use what was in my stash, so I just adapted it.Stash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0 -

Of course you can and welcome. Do you have a target you would like to aim for before buying more stash?
