Sounds like some of you should unsubscribe from the e-mail lists of these craft stores! I had to as I was getting way too tempted with sales! Also helps de-stash my inbox!
Didn't get anything done over the weekend but hoping to get a move on with my Christmas cards this week. Also have to make 2 new baby cards for friends. The poster who said that they'd used up the rest of a topper sheet after making a card is so smart, I always just use what I want and put the rest back 'for later' but I'm going to make an effort to use everything on the sheet in future! Such a simple, but clever idea!

I tend to use Ebay but it has to be a bargin. i was lucky enough to get a bundle of fabric weighing 41/2 kilo for £12 and free postage. It was brilliant fabric, huge pieces some by CK, i am still using itup five months later.:j:j:j2020 Stash makes/destash 61/1500 -

Do you both (and chiefposssion) have a target in mind so I can add it to the list?
Thank you for the welcome and yes I would like to go for 500 please, starting from today so not counting the 300 for the school fair. Today I made 20 keyrings , 5 little stockings, 5 flannel cupcakes and 5 flannel handbags and 10 cups of sweets, the sweets are a bit of a cheat really as just use a Christmas paper cup , fill with sweets and wrap in cellophane but I have had the cups since last year and wanted to use them up.
So 45 items for today. Think I will diecut 10 santa sleighs tonight and make them up tomorrow
Have taken photos but having a problem getting them onto computer but will post when I sort it out.Slimming World at target0 -
Habibiboo - not very good at knitting. Taken me two years to knit a scarf - finished it last week and started another. So your totals sound amazing to me and it's your challenge so it's what works for you :-)
Hi Susan - a scarf is where we all start, you'll get quicker as you go, honest!
I think it's possible my total is a bit on the steep side, but it's kinda necessary I think and will keep me out of mischief on these cold, dark nights!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Your OH sounds like mine are they related.
Its always "you never finish off what you started," i just like to have a few projects on the go, OH does'nt know how us craft peoples minds work.
On a similar theme my scrap quilt is now complete as regards the blocks being finished, just needs wadding and backing doing, quilting to be done on top. Job done. Been 7 months in all, so already planning the next master piece.
 Hi Rosie - yes, perhaps they were separated at birth! Why don't they "get" that a "being finished" project isn't the same as an "unfinished project"? Your reply also made me suspect that you & I might well share a crafy-quirky gene too ... I too like to have different projects on the go, there's at least 3 ongoing at the moment. They will be finished in time for Christmas though. They often look "unfinished" because I'll have a whole run at the knitting and then do all the sewing up of several projects over the course of a week, to get that part done!
Speaking of which, I admire your sewing skills. I knit quilts and sew the backing etc but have never done patchwork as I just don't seem to be able to get on with sewing machines: I hand sew everything (I've made dresses in the past without a machine because I know I won't mess it up if I hand sew).
You're right about Ebay bargains, but I have a personal challenge to only sell on there at the moment, buying is off-limits for a bit!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Welcome milliemonster - what would you like me to put as your target figure? You don't have to have one but I find it helps with motivation
Well done everyone - you are all putting me to shame.
I have managed 15 thank you cards for all my helpers at the craft fair on Saturday so my target is moving slowly. I have a whole day today where I should really be doing housework but think I shall do some crafting instead!!!!
Talking of totals could you all post your total makes since the start of this challenge so that I can update the totals on the first page. Thanks xxxMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
