Crafting mad 48 stamps to colour wow. Colouring not my strong point , take all day and still don't get it right

Jellie - if you figure out a way to insulate ceiling let me know - OH suggested putting me in a tent

Rosie - it's awful when you do that isn't it. I have a tidy up then can't find anything

Pukka mum - I'm no got at sewing either. Had 7 attempts doing a button

I made another 9 tea bag thingys today and I've made another 20 cards and 20 gift tags , they were easy , got cameo to cut them out of card and stamped an east of India stamp on. :-)

So I'm getting there , had a good day today and yesterday evening but can't do any for a couple of days . Need to chill ( might fit some in tomorrow pm if OH goes out)

This is a great challenge, may I join?! I'm expecting a baby in February so my craft room has been demoted to a cupboard and I really need to work on getting my stash down to a more sensible level since my OH threatens to bin everything that doesn't have a home. :) I lost my crafting mojo over the last few months too so I'm hoping this will help get me back into it as I'm so woefully behind with my Christmas cards! :o

I won't put too high a target since I think I'll struggle, but I'd like to have 75 items made by Christmas. This includes finishing off my wedding scrapbook... I got married nearly 3 years ago! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Current thoughts are to have bubble wrap covered by a ceiling quilt! I'm thinking of quilt attached to and draped across curtain poles hanging from ceiling. If I can make a decent job of it I figure it will look like art. Only problem is I've not done any quilting before! I see there are a couple of quick methods I can try.

Of course you can join us Birdie85 and congratulations on your impending arrival. 75 sounds like a good target to me :) Is your husband related to mine - he is always threatening to bin my goodies :D

Don't worry- I have yet to start Christmas cards or my wedding scrapbook (I got married 2 1/2 years ago!).
The only reason I have a high target here is because I really need to steer clear of buying more stash for a very very very long time!

I couldn't believe the stories of Black Friday craziness in the shops. What is cyber Monday?

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

  • Cyber Monday (1st Monday in Dec) is when everyone supposedly goes online to buy their pressies.

  • I will join you if I may. My poor long suffering husband never complains that I have a whole room for wool, material, patterns, sewing machines and everything else. He never bats an eyelid when I just neeeeed to go to Abakhan 'just to have a look'. I need to get rid of some of it so that I can re-stash with a clear conscience.

My students at school know that I knit and sew and one year 10 student begged me to make him a scarf for his birthday - so I did. I now have requests for 5 more plus 2 reindeer hats. One scarf and the two hats need to be done before Christmas, but the other boys know that they need to wait. Who knew that 14/15 year old boys would be so pleased with handmade. :T So that is where my stash is going to go.

Hi chief - well done on the knits and welcome

Jellie - I had a run on scrap booking then stopped perhaps the new year I might try a 2013 book to use some things up, good idea I love the ceiling idea

Hi birdie - welcome and happy stash using and congrats on the baby

Black Friday didn't tempt me . I now have an annoying habit of choosing things and then deleting the basket I call it web window shopping. But what a waste of time

No crafting today , was asked could I do a craft stall last minute. Somebody got let down. Well I did one with all my families stocking fillers, I don't think I charged enough because within an hour a swarm of locusts took all my things away. On a positive note I been invited back next year. Advance warning. I also won 5 prizes. On three different tombolas. The idea was to give some funds back not walk off with some fab prizes

So I'll be busy crafting this week as I now have no cards. No sweet trees. No sweet bouquets and no Xmas tree sweetie trees. So hopefully I can make a big dent in my 500.

Tomorrow I'm making Xmas cake and chocolate houses so fingers crossed ...and spotted d**k
