Wow - well done everyone on your makes - you are all putting me to shame :)

I've still not got around to making anything but I think I have definitely turned a corner - I have just browsed the whole sale section of that craft shopping channel's website and not bought anything - nothing even went into my basket :)

  • I have just managed to make 7 little boxes for table gifts for Christmas Day so that brings my total to a nice round 100 :)

I have made my Christmas hearts. I decided not to make them into bunting so my daughter attached them to a curtain rail in the kitchen. They look a bit rough and ready but very festive.

Well done on your makes everyone

I finished a bucilla stocking took me 3 weeks!! Not very good at sewing

Made 50 gift tags, cut out of A4 card and stamped , I'll count that as 8 as that's how many sheets I used

Made 10 pots of gold and 10 crackers , so slowly using the stash ... Was hoping to use more but needed to do some house work lol

Merry christmas everyone, hope you have a fab day tomorrow

  • Looking at my stuff today I realised that I am really going to have to thin out some of my craft stuff that can't be used up.
I have way too many Stamps and Ink pads, punches, pens and embossing folders. There is no way I can use them up, may have to think about donating or selling some of the items.
I am definitely not buying any more of these items next year or the year after!

Merry Christmas to you to chief xxx

Love the hanging hearts - think you may well have inspired me to make some for our curtain rails - thanks you xxx

Well I am doing well at the moment and resisting the crafting sales - how's everyone else doing?

  • Well the good news is that I managed to use up some more bits and pieces on a few cards and decorating my new diary.

The bad news is that I received several craft items for Christmas. I am now adding two packs of stickers, six rolls of Washi tape and some polka dot bows to my stash! I also have £40 of Hobbycraft gift vouchers but I may use them to buy gifts for my crafty friends!

I'm being good so far but have had two breakages in the last couple of weeks which for one I definitely need to buy a replacement.

First a cap has broken from a tube of paint I have and I can't screw it back on (very annoying and so will be contacting Daler Rowney as this is the second time it has happened to me). I'm hoping the paint won't dry out too much and that I'll still be able to use it for a while as it's a very new tube.

Secondly one of my acrylic plates snapped from my Big Shot. It was the one I got with it when I bought off E-bay and has had several years usage from me, let alone from the previous owner. This will need replacing as I've got birthday cards to make for the end of January and I need to cut some letters out.

To compensate for this purchase I will up my total from 25 to 40 as I'm really enjoying myself with the stash busting challenge.

Hope you all had a really nice Xmas.
I have only made one thing from my stash, a patchwork bag as a Xmas present to my lovely neighbour. I have made loads of bags but i think this was the best effort so far.
