Going to craft room now to finish clearing desk and do 1 scrapbook page to finish my get things done weekly challenge.

Hopefully then will use my cricut imagine to print on felt. I then cut out a back and stitch round with blanket stitch. Stuff, add scented rice and ribbon to hang.

Sold these for fund raising for epilepsy charity and made them as christmas car air fresheners. Went down well so want to make more non Christmas themed ones.

Have a love/hate relationship with my cricut imagine. Love what you can do but hate ink cost!

Loopychris - bread in sounds intriguing
Yes, when I saw the idea somewhere I thought it might be interesting to do. Can't promise it will be any time soon though, got other more pressing projects to do first! So pics won't be forthcoming yet!

loopychriss-what glue do you use for your button frames. I had a go but my buttons are now dropping off!!! and the miniature in a bread bin sounds amazing-would love to see some pics.:D

I tried UHU clear glue but that was far too messy and it tended to 'clump' on the buttons and just pull off. In the end I used Anita's PVA glue, the white one. Not sure if any will fall off, I've just put it in a drawer until I want to give it as a gift. If any do fall off though, I will then try with my hot glue gun.

Yesterday I made one item for a dolls house swap, a little log basket. Got an old bottle top, covered it with pva glue and wound twine round it until it was covered. Plaited 3 bits of twine together to make handles and stuck them on the inside, then chopped up a bit of very thin willow fencing to make logs. Looks quite good, and is one more item finished.

Not sure what today's make will be yet. Got to go hospital visiting this afternoon, so will have to be something quick this evening.

Now I'm hoping my broadband will stay on for long enough for me to post this message! It's been playing up for days and I can only get it sporadically for around 4 or 5 minutes at a time!

Be back later if I can

  • Hi everyone. i have made a bit of progress but not as much as I would have liked. I got sidetracked by finishing a cardigan for myself (even though i still need to sew the four buttons on!)

    So my list stands as

    [STRIKE]2 x reindeer hats[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]scarf[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]scarf[/STRIKE]
    scarf
    owl hat
    dinosaur hat
    Santa hat
tractor hat (!!!!! They must think I can do anything!)
    [STRIKE]red and blue scarf[/STRIKE]
    gloves
    pig hat
    sheep hat

I am going to sit and do the Santa hat this evening and then start the last scarf. Can you tell that I am putting off the 'character' hats? I might just knit some plain hats and then add crocheted eyes, ears etc.

    Can I join in too?

I'm aiming to give myself a year to get enough crafted items together to set up an Etsy page. This week I am knitting hats. And gloves. And painting seascapes. And sewing bags.

Tell me to get a grip, someone! :o

I am also hoping to set up an open Facebook page to sell/showcase some of my finished projects. I do sell a few things to friends and work colleagues and put the cash in a pot to spend at the craft fairs throughout the year so thought this might boost my stash pot??? That way I don't feel so bad spending on more goodies.

The next fair is on the 23rd Jamuary at Sandown and I have some Christmas money put aside for it but I have only made 42 out of my 50 and cannot spend until that last 8 is done so need to get my skates on.
Then after the fair I will set myself the goal of another 50 before my next little indulgence at the NEC in March.

Can't see desk to work on so tried the on my desk challenge to use stuff on desk...but I seem to always need to add a bit of something else to finish the project. Then end up with more stuff on desk and back in the cycle finding I wasn't really enjoying crafting it was a chore to use up the stuff back on the desk.:(

This challenge seems way more fun as I do have plenty of lovely stuff that I will be happy to use.:)

    Aiming for 52 one a week !

Wow 52 in a week looking forward to seeing how you get on.
My craftroom at times looks like it's been burgled it gets so bad :rotfl:
When I am working I end up with a tiny tiny space to craft in as I get more and more out. However at the end of my project or crafting session I always put everything back in its place and clear the decks. This can be after several days depending on what I'm working on but it works for me.

LOL, I had to look twice at this!!! I think it is 52 for the year, one a week!

Today I've been in and out again, so have only managed to make 2 more notelet cards towards a set for Christmas gift (so far, it's early yet!).

So, total now 44 out of 500
