Susan42 Your projects sound amazing! I would love to see pictures of them, have you posted pics already?
No crafting for me today as I crocheted a bit much the other day and my hands are a bit tenderHoping to get a bunting flag a day finished so that I can get it done and dusted.

Hi all and a big welcome Rummer
It sounds like you are all making loads of progress so massive pats on the back from me
I've had a really busy couple of weeks so havent had a chance to do much crafting as have been busy watching things at my kids school. We have had a sports day, open afternoon, parents evening, music assembly, celebration assesmbly, 2 school trips, a tea party and a very emotional leavers assembly as my daughter is a yr 6 and now finished primary schoolall in the space of a week and a half!
I set myself a challenge of only using my existing craft stash to make all 8 teachers and teaching assistants an end of year gift and accordingly can now add a further 43 items to my total
These were made up of:-
8 x cards (made by my kids but using all my stash so im counting them)
7 x notebooks (I have a bit of a thing about stationary and had bought these notepads ages ago from sainsburys I think when they were selling them cheap). They already had striped neon covers so I just added flowers to the front for the ladies and a guitar for the male teacher.
3 x set of 6 heart magnets in a matching decorated tin. These were made by simply glueing a punched heart bit of patterned paper onto a heart shaped glass stone and adding a small piece of magnet to the back of each. The tins I have had for ages and I just added some ribbon, gens and a bit of cordinating paper to the front.
20 x bookmarks (I made a bookmark for each of the staff members from my daughter as a thank you). I actually just printed them from the internet and laminated them but I added ribbon to the top of each so used a lot of my ribbon dtash so although it may be cheating I am goibg to count each one)
1 x blackboard easel made by simply painting a mini canvas with blackboard paint and the stand that came with it a pretty colour. Add a piece of chalk and you have a little memo board for a teacher
1 x pot of pencil flowers (8 pencils with flowers pushed onto top abd planted in a decorated tin can
3 x sets of 3 apple clips (made by simply hot glueing sone very old buttons onto paperclips and adding a small piece of felt to the back)
So my total is slowly moving in the right direction and I think that with all my makes and my destashing together with my tidying abd better organisation I am begining to see a small de t in my stash - yippee

Crikey you've been busy craftingmad!!! That's a lot of things!!!
I haven't made anything today but I have had a sort through my scrapbooking supplies and sorted out a dozen or so packets of stickers and embellishments for my group leader tonight, so I'm going to count those. I sat there reminiscing over everything, remembering when I'd bought them and the aspirations I had for making scrapbooks for each of the family...... I suddenly realised that even if I gave away most of it and kept only the best bits, if I wanted a certain thing in the future I could source it on ebay or a craft shop as and when I needed it.
I think the biggest hurdle for me over the destashing is the guilt I feel at all the money I wasted buying it. Hubby says not to worry about it, so why can I not just let it all go in one hit???
Tomorrow is another day and I'm becoming more of a minimalist every day, so I may sort out some to put on ebay - if anyone is buying craft stuff any more that is.
