More tidying for me today and I am actually starting to see some progress. I almost have a clear floor in my craft room
I have also made 6 quick cards which I have uploaded to my blog if any of you want to take a look
I also still havent bought any more craft supplies despite tuning into that craft channel for a bit whilst sorting out my stash so that's a good result for me (I think the thought of having find space for anything else in my already bulging room is doing the trick!!).

Can I ask what you do with your fat quarters? I have some (bought for a purpose but now I have spare) but am at a loss for what to do with them0 -
Final Duck - get it? Last of my World cup ducks - final tonight. I'll get my coat.

Excuse OH's legs!!!
I made it with a different pattern - now I have an idea for a wee set for my grandaughter. 5 little ducks is one of her favourite songs. Hmm, maybe I could make a pond bag for them ......2014-07-13 23.10.36 by r.doctor, on Flickr

Oh flower - it worked woo hoo!!!!
What do I do with my FQs, you ask, ems? I look at them fondly and stroke them, of course, lol. No, seriously, I usually make quilts. I used some for those bags for Beads of Courage. Last year I made some Santa pillows with some Christmas FQs I had. I'm thinking of making pretty aprons for Christmas presents. Or a couple will make a simple wee dress for a wee girl. When you buy a pack the colours are usually coordinated, so they easily mix and match. An old sheet will make sashing/binding if you need to eke them out a bit.
I did a quick google for what can you do with fat quarters and loads came up. For example, if you go to

Hi all
Crafting mad - that's an ace idea for crafting with those sticks. Ill pinch your idea if you don't mind. After I sort the craft room out again. People keep coming to view the house and I'm guilty of throwing it all in cupboards I'm afraid. Love the blog btw. I can while away much time on it :-)
Greentiger - thanks for the link 're- FQs I too am guilty of purchasing some. I have them all cut out to make a quilt but they too are in the cupboard :-(
Love the ducks and the Santa pillows idea
No crafting for me unless you count stripping wallpaper.
On a plus note I have managed to sell 6 stamps, ( I know I have loads) leave Xmas ones until later in year. Also decided to sell my cellophane wrap. I have 5 rolls different patterns and 14 boxes of different colour pull bows. Went through a phase of wrapping everything as hampers for the family. I sold about 12 lots so far. And 7 quantities of card. ( last year I spent two orders of £100 at a card company) told you I was a bit ott . I did sell my brad making kit too but post service lost it :-( Hopefully it'll come back in the future. This year I sent a toffee tin (don't ask) it took 6 months to get there . I reimbursed the buyer and she kindly paid again .

Sounds like you've all been busy.... I am gradually picking up my mojo again, and made 6 morsbags on Monday, using up a reel of cotton in the process, so 7 more to add to my list. Also made a pile of handles for the next bags, but I won't count them until I've done the bags.
Been having a think and suddenly had a light bulb moment: all my fabric I collected because I wanted to make quilts. Now I feel guilty because I don't make quilts any more and I have all this fabric. LBM ..... use it to make other things! So I'm going to give myself permission to use the 'best' quilt fabric for cushion covers, tablecloths, napkins, bags and other such goodies for myself. It means that the fabric will still be in the house, but will be used for a purpose instead of taking up space in the cupboard.....
Why didn't I think of it before????

Me again
It's nice to see this thread being a bit busier again (and even nicer to know I'm not talking to myself!)
ems and greentiger - I forgive both of you for your purchases:)
greentiger - loving the ducks and what a brilliant gift for your granddaughter. Also thanks for posting link about FQ's. I too have been tempted in the past (who am I kidding - I'm still tempted!) and bought them only to stroke them and rub them against my face before putting them bag in their storage box in my craft room. The ideas look great and have inspired me to stop rubbing and start sewing with them instead
susan42 - help yourself to the inspiration idea. Hope the house selling goes well and well done on destashing more of your stash
loopychris - go girl
Anyway I actually popped on to let you all know I have just posted pics of the inspiration tin on my blog. I apologise now - kits a bit of a long post but you all have my permission to skip my ramblings and just dive straight to the photosMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

 Hello, I would love to come and join you all in your destashing adventure!
Currently I have a heap of WIPs as well as mountains of random stash/components for planned projectsand I want to reclaim some of the space in my home as well as creating lots of beautiful things
Initially I am going to focus on:
2 shawls - partially complete, crochet
quilt - squares cut, needs assembled
magazine bag - material partially cut
quiet book - only made a few pages so loads left to do
bunting - partially complete, crochet
Once I have got these things finished I am going to turn my thoughts to some of the many other things that need attentionTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0
