HI craftingmad, I will put up my craft room pics, just as soon as I've cleared it out a bit; it's still housing stuff from other room - which I really should put back in there proper home.
I did manage to get in a clear a wee space and got some cards made today - still not making any impression on my stash. I even decluttered some stuff to my grandsons, who wanted to make cards for their teachers (schools finished up today here).

I have also made 50 little yellow ducks - and 4 have made their way into the wide world. I am making them while watching the football. When the world cup finishes, so will my duck making until next year.
Keep those makes coming, everyone.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Love the cards greentiger and can't wait to see the craft room pics.
The ducks you made are absolutely gorgeous. My kids saw the pics of then and now they want me to make some. I have the wool but there is a tiny problem - I can't knit or crochet!!!! Guess I will be checking youtube out shortly to learn!!!!Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Oops forgot to add that both my daughter and I have made a card today. Hers is for her friends 10th birthday tomorrow and mine is for my husband as it's our anniversary on Monday. I can't believe we will have been married 14 years - where does the time go?
Anyway happy crafting everyone.Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Hi everyone
Sorry I not been on for a while (hangs head in shame)
But I have been having a mass clearout and making all sorts of things
I have made 50 christmas cards for myself. And over 400 (half for scouts and half for charity, haven't decided which one yet , they usually ask me)
I also cleared out over 200 craft magazines :-/
Over 100 stamps (finally admitted to self, I'm rubbish at stamping and colouring )
Made about 70 items of jewellery as gifts and reminder for bootsale. Also have over 50 + items for bootsale
I also sold , card, cards, punches. Decoupage, over 100 sheets, all my pergamano things. Hands are not the best for those type of things.
So my total has gone up. I'm sure there's more but that's the amount I kept a running total of on my cork board. I have more things to sort out but am having a well earned rest and ive run out of glue
So I'm confessing here , I need to buy some more glue and some vanish
Does this count for no spend, as I'm determined not to spend. !
I do read the board as much as I can and am amazed at some of the things you have all achieved. I will try to pop in more now my mammoth clearout is started.
I am determined to check in at least once a week to follow your progress.
Thank you all for reading this post in advance and hope I've not bored you too much :-)Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

Wow susan - what amazing progress. I think you can easily be forgiven for being a bit quiet on the thread recentlyWell done
As for the buying of glue and varnish - I class those as essentials so you can purchase away absolutely guilt free (actually after your mammoth efforts I think you could purchase anything and still be guilt free!!!).

I feel like I've made no progress at the moment as i have been working on bigger projects (a configuration box and the cross stitches), so have not updated my total at all. However, tonight I have finished the card for my little brothers birthday next month. It's my first attempt at a box card.

Love the card ems. You have made amazing progress already so feel proud of yourself. I wouldnt have the patience to do the cross stitches that you do, and although they take time, the sense of achievement when they are finished must be wonderful.
Keep crafting - even if you dont finish a project - every little bit counts xxMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Great card ems.
I mad a couple of cards today. One is for my friend who has just become a granny to a wee girl. The other will be stashed
I haven't unearthed my craft room yet to photograph it - all you'd see would be paper, glue, boxes and boxes etc. I will have to tidy up very soon, so that I have space to make bunting for aforementioned toots. This world cup gets in the way of everything!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
I warn you now, this is a long post, which you may find very boring.
Well, I promised I'd do it - here's my craft room. I had to tidy up after making cards (seems to require every inch of surface/floor) so that I can start on some bunting. I also had 2 big bags of stuff that I kept moving around to keep the photos looking better lol.
All the furniture I got from ebay or small ads. It took a while to get stuff to match,

My room doubles as a guest room, so I wanted everything to be contained. All the furniture I got from ebay or small ads. It took a while to get stuff to match. I'vea few bits and bobs to do yet, but nearly there. When I was planning it - yes, I did plan it - I decided that the sofa bed would be my thinking/inspiration area, so the shelf above has SOME of my craft books (most mags are under my bed - you'll learn that this area is actually an annexe of my craft room) and a radio/CD player. I need to get some nice bookends so I can stand the books up and get some more out. I feel as if a guest might get clobbered as they sleep if I put more there just now. On the side nearest, there is a folding TV table - in case I need extra work space. Between the sofa and the window is where I keep my tabletop ironing board.

This is the opposite side of the room to the sofa, in guest mode. I chose a gateleg table so it can fold down and allow bed to extend. It also has 2 legs supporting the leaf, to ensure it takes the weight of the sewing machine. I also hunted for one with a leaf that reached the floor to hide the PC and its gubbins and a wee fan heater. Also I wanted one that had rounded corners, so fabric wouldn't snag, while still being rectangular rather than oval. That's not a mark on the table, by the way, it's a light reflection - I've just been to check. To the left of the table two cupboards are stacked on top of each other. They hold card and ..... well more card really. I've just bought the 3 boxes on top, to hold the stuff for my son's wedding invitations etc. 1 drawer has pens, another small tools, another has embellishments and the last has painting stuff (the rest hasn't made it down from the loft - yet). Below the monitor are a drawerful of stationery, a shelf with glass mat, splodge mat, guillotine and paper trimmers, and a cupboard with computer supplies. I keep a cheap iron and a dymo labelmaker on top of a wee set of drawers of assorted junk - need to make a proper decision there - on the table

This how it looks in work mode.
Above the computer the shelves have crafting CD roms, photography stuff, embroidery thread, buttons and an unwelcome spider !!!!

This the last pic - and I see those bags have sneaked in! Beside the cupboards you've already seen, is a gentleman's wardrobe. I wanted this because it already had shelves and drawers inside. OH put in more shelves. On top you can see a lot of boxes, mostly empty but too pretty/potentially useful (you know what I mean) to throw away. There are 3 big plastic containers with wool. My big cutting mat, my quilting ruler and a metre stick live next to the wall. Inside the wardrobe/Tardis are my sewing boxes, bias tape maker, cuttlebug and dies & embossing folders, some fabric, haberdashery bits, knitting needles and crochet hooks, quilting templates, thing for scanning slides and photo negatives, lots of drawers with assorted sticky stuff, scoring boards, craft templates, ink pads, embossing powders and so much more I can't remember!!!!
In the "annexe", as well as a big box of craft magazines - which I really need to part with - there are 7 big boxes of fabric. Ooops! In the wardrobe in our other bedroom, I have a big drawer tower with ribbons, punches, glue gun and light box, rubber stamps and mounts. And in the loft lurks my painting stuff and a huge amount of wadding!
Now you know why I need help. The fact that I can't remember everything I've got should be a nudge to me to get rid of stuff but .....Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Love the room greentiger - it looks amazing and so tidy
you can tell how much thought has gone into it.
Youve done a great job of making it a duel purpose room and shaming me into getting tidying and organised!!!
