Well it seems a little quiet on this thread. I hope you havent all gone and deserted me? I need all of you to help keep me on the straight and narrow :)

I dont have much progress to report as I am still trying to tame my craft room! Ive done more sorting and organising so it is becoming much easier for me to find things to be able to craft and ive also put more bits into my sell/donate box which feels good :)

I have made a little inspiration box which I shall try and post on my blog very soon. Basically its a decorated tin with lots of decorated lolly sticks in it. Each of my card kits is now in a numbered grip seal bag on my shelf and there is a numbered lolly stick for each kit in my tin. Now if im not sure what to do next (as I have lots of things to choose from! ) I can grab a stick, take out that kit and hopefully create some beautiful things. Im hoping that this system will actually get me using these card kits and toppers I have bought in the past.

I'm also hoping to do this for my scrapbook kits soon as well.

So only one more make to declare for me at the moment but on a positive note ive not bought any crafty bits for a whole week (not even digi dowloads which are now my real weakness - at least don't take up any room though)!

Happy stashbusting everyone (if your still there :)

Hi, I am still here mainly lurking and destashing knitting wool for teddy bears. Too hot to knit or sew today I am retreating to a shady bit of garden with a book.

I've just managed to post pictures to my blog regarding my paper and cardstock scraps organisation.

I'm well impressed with myself. It looks good on screen and makes me realise that all this organising, sorting and purging is worth it!! :)

If you get a chance to pop over then please do just so that I know I'm not muttering away to myself - thanks xx

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and happily crafting away :)

EEk I had a long post and wandered off to Craftingmad's blog for a nosey and my post has vamoosed! Here's an abridged version.

Craftingmad, I'm here too. I haven't made much other than little yellow ducks and the odd card. I like your lolly stick idea. I saw something similar in My Creative Classroom site, but she put a different item on each stick, e.g. ribbon, buttons, embossing folders, dies, stamps ad infinitum. When her mojo went missing, she picked 3 sticks and then made something with whatever her resources suggested. She did it that way to try to use stuff that got forgotten about - in my case masks and mica mist lol. Like your storage system btw, :)

Flower, thanks for the info re posting pics. I think I can see how it will work. Now I just have to make something so I have a pic to post!

Well, the footie is on, so I need to go and make my second last little yellow duck. TTFN

Sorry for thr blog distraction greentiger :o

Love the idea to have a tin with lollysticks for all my supplies. Will definately be copying that idea - thanks. It sounds a great way to inspire, create and stash bust all at the same time :j

Thank you also for not leaving me alone on this jouney :p

  • Well I have been hiding a little, as I was a little bit bad (actually really bad, 35 tubes of distress stickles for £35 from ebay!) but I have added 20 to my total by making christmas cards!

I took my grandson to see How to Train Your Dragon 2 today and somehow I've brought home 2 packs of fat quarters (Hobbycraft had some FQ's, 6 in a pack, for £5 !!!!!). Don't know how that happened ;)
