Well done for getting on so well with your list. If you're down to the 25 and working well on those, then you deserve much kudos!:T

Well......... In theory these are what I'd like to achieve: in practice not much is getting done!!! I tend to collect everything I'll ever be likely to need for a project before even starting on it, hence I have crates and cupboards full of 'stuff' to do them with. One day I will make a start but at the moment life is so hectic with other things that I never seem to have time to just sit and play and get anything done.

Haven't done a lot these past couple of weeks... started a strip quilt 'quilt as you go' and am on the binding now... it only took a couple of hours to piece it all and get the binding on, I have to sew it down by hand now. Also made a couple more things for the dolls house group swaps. I'm discovering that I don't really enjoy making things, as I'm very much a novice they don't seem to be as easy as the tutorials and magazines make them out to be!!!

I'm decluttering again so might ditch a couple of projects that I wanted to do... ones that I've lost interest in, but I'll make a decision on that later.

    Current update:
    1. Make 100 morsbags over year - 39 made (14th July)
    2. Paint and decorate granddaughter's dolls house
3.Make 9 items for dolls house group birthday swaps 2014 - 12 made (20th July)
    4. Dog-themed quilt to raffle for charity in the summer at dog show (August) Think I'd better make a start on this!!!
    5. Finish strip lap quilt (red) - needs quilting and binding
    6. Finish another strip lap quilt (funky colours) - needs quilting and binding - Started quilting it
    7. Finish quilt for mum's bed for her birthday (19th Dec) - needs backing, quilting and binding
    8. 6 new cushion covers for lounge
    9. Fragrant wall hanging for my bedroom
    10. Finish cross stitch picture (I will finish one project before starting another) !!
    11. Button covered photo frames (2) for friend's daughter
    12. Miniature Christmas room setting in white candle lamp (for 1st Dec as a Christmas display)
13.Decopatch/button picture frame for friend's birthday (Dec 17th)
14.Decoupage 2 wooden boxes for treasure boxes
    15. Journal in a jar - notebook, pen and loads of questions to answer (daughter for Christmas)
16.Journal in a jar for other daughter
    17. Journal in a jar for sister in law
    18. Journal in a jar for son in law - questions typed on computer
    19. Miniature room setting in box - beach scene
    20. Miniature room setting in box - garden scene
    21. Miniature room setting in box - attic scene
    22. Miniature room setting in box - not decided yet but got 4 boxes to use up!
    23. Miniature scene made in wooden bread bin
    24. Miniature room setting in breadbin No.2
    25. Paint and recover ottoman (Painted, just needs lid recovering)

2 to add to my total, so total now 413 out of 500

  • If you mean you've completed 413 out of 500, I would say that was getting a LOT done! :)

Well.... I haven't actually completed 413 tasks.... when I started this challenge I was decluttering 'stuff'.... I made my daughter's wedding stationery, so that was a big chunk. I made 40 Order of Service cards, 40 thank you cards, 70 name place settings and various other bits. Plus I have been knitting squares for a blanket and counting each of those as I item. Because I've got so much stash to declutter I thought I'd do it that way so as to not lose heart. I also got rid of some bits because I'd never use them, so that bumped the total up too. I don't think I'll ever complete all the projects I'd like to, because I simply have so many to do and I tend to lose interest after a couple of months.

One day I'll be stash free - whether by using it up or giving it away. I look forward to that day, then if I fancy doing a project I'll be able to just go out and buy the few things I need, instead of collecting all the tools, equipment and materials I think I'll need before I can even contemplate starting something!

That way of counting works for me, loops!!:D

I don't intend to greatly de-stash myself, but as I have relatively limited arts/crafts interests (i.e. embroidery and some drawing/painting) and stock can be used for several things, I'm not worrying about it. I am trying to use up kits and patterns though and, when they're used, they get e-bayed. :)

    Morning everyone

Stamp selling going well have sold another 14 - downside about 200 to go - don't ask

I decoupage a coffee table , I've done some before for DD (2) small ones. But this one OH acquired, it was damaged , wish I took before photos, but now it's finished and looks good, I think. :-/
Have to photograph it. I used 12 backing papers. Some topper sheets and 2 bottles of PVA

So that's some more detaching. I have photographed about 50 items for eBay , waiting on a free listing day and given my mate 50 sheets of mirri card.

Loopychris - well done on your totals , I do read the forum and keep up but decided to post once a week. Spend two much time on the computer. Not enough crafting.

    Greentiger - hi

Welcome Elizabeth - hope you join in and bust your stash :-)

Emslovesmickey - well done on you configuration box , it's ace, can see the detail in it

Bummer - welcome to the thread also - May you stash days be happy ones

My next craft project is to build a lock and barge out of paper. Last year I built a church which was ace. So much detail. I'm making a Christmas village and can't buy somethings ready made that I want to include so I'm improvising. ( if you look on pinterest for Lenox villages I'm hoping to make something along those lines but not as fab as its my first year) I got the train set yesterday so thought I'd better start now.

Have a good week everyone and anyone I missed out hi

Yes please Susan, love to see some photos of your decoupaged coffee table. I've been browsing your blog too, you've got some really great ideas.

Today I have sorted out a load of craft stuff that I won't be using again and will give it to my slimming world group leader tomorrow: she makes cards and will make more use of it than I will, so I'm happy to let it go. Better it go to someone who will actually use it than sit in my cupboards for years gathering dust.

Haven't actually counted any of it, will just count it all as 1 in my total.

Total now 414 out of 500
