:T for all the completed projects and items de-stashed :T
ELM how exciting! Please keep us posted
Well I am still plugging away at the crocheted bunting, it is taking far longer than I had hoped as my hands keep getting sore and I don't want to overdo things.
Onto the last triangle now and then I need to sew the letters on to them and join them all up! I am thinking about adding a few embellishments however I will make that call when it is constructed and I can see the basic effect.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Not made anything except 3 more knitted squares, and now I have finished up all the wool I had. I have been given some oddments by my mum, but that is to make pompoms for some hats she's made for charity.
Yesterday I had a sort through my fabric stash and have sorted out 8 decent sized pieces for a friend, and a bag of offcuts and pieces left over from other projects, which I will also give to her if she wants it. Plus I've sorted out some thread for her - 15 reels.
So.... update to total: 3 knitted squares, 8 pieces fabric, 1 bag of scraps, 15 reels of thread = another 27 off my total.

:j:j:j That is the bunting finished :j:j:j
My lovely OH let me just crochet the bits together and sew the letters on while he kept our DS entertainedNow all I need is for him to hang it up in the nursery!
It was really satisfying doing the bunting as it took a couple of weeks but was a relatively quick project compared to the shawls I usually work on. There is still some of the yarn left however not much so I am pleased with my stash reduction.
I would say it was 3 balls used and one project completedTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Aaagh! Did it again - started to post, went off to look at something else and lost post. I've been awol lately, because of Commonwealth Games. Between watching on tv and going into Glasgow to enjoy, I've not had much time.
I've skim read up until now; it's good to see destashing continues apace, in all sorts of forms. How many words did you destash, Ems, lol? I'll go back and read properly because there are lots of lovely things there. Well done.
Well I had (a little of) today free, so I got back in the groove. Some of you may remember my little yellow ducks and that I'd had an idea about them for my granddaughter. Well, here it is -duckpond bag by r.doctor, on Flickr
I made a little bag. I was going to applique a duck, but then I decided to make use of some of the decorative stitches on my machine.

I need to get cracking and finish a baby quilt and also 2 sets of bunting, for babies who arrived earlier this week. Guess where I'm going right now!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Well, I am too new to post photos, but I have made five cards over the last two days. Fortunately, apart from the base cards themselves, four of the cards were made using free gifts from this month's Cardmaking mag which I have on gift subscription. Not much original stash raiding there! I did make a tri fold shutter card for the first time though!Stashbusting 27/500

Well done debrak on your stashbusting, yes it all counts. I think I had or have got a crafters companion pro will have to Google it to refresh my memory
. Ive been busy preparing things for my next stash bust. So haven't got anything to report.
Have purchased a train set and a moving cable car feature for my Christmas village. So excited, don't think they count as craft purchases. Even started the layout. Not being fully assembled until Christmas, thought I'd start early. And I want to blog my journey so blogged it all.
Greentiger that is absolutely amazing. Well done you
Rummer well done on the bunting sounds fab. I know what you mean about your hands , that's the problem I have with knitting.
Loopychris keep it going, your nearly at your total. A pat on the back thoroughly deserved I think
Bubblesmum welcome to the thread. Can't wait to see what you will destash. Good luck with it
Emslovesmickey well done on the book, from little acorns grows big trees. How exciting for you. Naughty on the purchases but I'm sure they'll have plenty of use
Bobblymosh love the cards and the colours well done. Never thought of using pink for Xmas but they're so effective. Particularly like the little houses. Can I ask where you got them without seeming cheeky
Congratulations Elizabeth Braun , I know how difficult it is to go on a website and not buy. I go on , put things in my basket and then close page down. It feels as if I'm shopping and then so happy for not purchasing. Sad I know
Hi crafting mad what you up to
I'm not sure about posting once a week, I seem to have an epic thread
Ladies , not sure if there's any men on here, welcome if there is
I digress, do any of you know where I can get chocolate brown card 150gsm to 200gsm. I need some badly I been on fleabay. I hate to buy any as I'm not allowed but I have sold over £500 pounds of craft things on eBay and cardstock is an essential isn't it? If not ill have to paint some white card lolChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Love the duckpond! That is really creative!:)
Thanks, Susan42. I sometimes do the same as you - pretend to buy then exit. Actually, there isn't that much more stash that I want as I really have more than I'll probably ever use, but it's not kits and designs so much as threads that are my weakness.:oElizabeth
Long-term No Buys: print books, make-up, art/craft items
Lost 8 of the 20lbs I need to shed:D0 -
The toppers are a really old sheet from Kanban (probably about 4 or 5 years old lol) so I don't think they will make them anymore.
I have made another 9 cards! I will post some pics on my blog tomorrow.
