Here is the latest baby quilt. The top used up 40 charm squares - I still have loads left - and white fabric, also leftover. I had the thread and wadding already too. But I confess I had to buy backing and binding fabrics.

I have also used up 19 bunting flags (and felt backing flags) and a toty amount of dark blue fabric and heat 'n' bond for letters. I bought bias binding to string them all together in two sets. I've also used 4 sheets of card, ink and glue to make the gift boxes for them. I'll not post pics as you've seen my bunting before.

Hi everyone - wondered if I could join you? I'm an avid knitter with an expensive weakness for yarn - usually beautiful expensive wool which I definitely cannot afford. I have enough wool to knit solidly for a year without running out and probably 20+ WIPs. If I go into a wool shop I rarely come out without anything. I don't buy online but will buy from charity shops. I don't need any of this wool and rarely finish work I start. I recently spent £49 on four balls of wool and a pattern I can't take it back as it is too far from home. So ... Can I join you and commit to making 20 items of knitwear before Xmas.? Hopefully I can do more. I will try my utmost during this time not to buy any more but will confess if I do. I plan to give the complete items to friends for Xmas.

Of course you are welcome to join :) and 20 is a very good target. You'll find that we are a very friendly group, and even forgive little blips in stash busting (mainly mine!)

Thanks - my first task then is to complete a cotton t-shirt - just one days worth of knitting and one day sewing it up. Am moving all my craft stuff to new home today so can organise stash and plan of action once this is done. I've got loads of papers to make cards too so thought I could start making my Xmas cards as impossible to knit all the time. Any suggestions for designs that aren't too difficult? I've really enjoyed reading this thread and seeing what others are achieving. It's inspiring to read your achievements. I'd also like to make some things for a friend's charity. She runs a group called Crafty Carers giving people who look after others the space and time to craft and socialise with others. They have regular fairs to raise funds. Any suggestions for things that wouldn't take too long but are saleable? Have a wonderfully crafty day everyone x

  • It's ok crafting mad - I had the exact same problem a couple of weeks ago! It's hard to craft when people are staying.

I've put my necklace and birdcage on my blog, but for those who don't want to go there, here is the birdcage

Massive apologies for going AWOL, I cant believe I havent posted since June (21st to be exact), but to be honest I havent really being doing much for a number of reasons

not felt well (finding recovery from heart attack very slow :( )
lots happening at school due to end of year and son moving to secondary in Sept (I dont remember my move from primary to secondary being so frenetic, how times change)
    school holidays

Scrap that, lol, I just realised how much Ive managed over the last few weeks (amazing how a little every day adds up - feel a bit better now ;) )

70 small scrabble frames (best teacher, granddad, etc)
2 x canvases (owl I'll always love you/ love you to the moon and back)
upcycled a floral plate into a jewellery dish for a friends little girl
    knitted pouffe
    frame for my mantlepiece
    2 x medium scrabble frames
3 x small wicker hearts embellished
decluttered a few knitting and craft mags

I am going to call my challenge complete and start a new one, I'd love to achieve at least 100 before Christmas (not sure what I'll manage this week as busy getting ready to go on hols Friday).

Sorry for all the waffle, keep up the great work everyone :T

    Hi all

Not been on in a while but have managed to destash a small card kit which I have had in my collection for 6 years. Only took three nights to stitch up so not sure why it has taken me so long to do it.

14848919593_4e238daaf5_s.jpgFairy card August 14 by Maisiecm, on Flickr

Next on my stashbusting is to get the 6 trinket boxes I have finished. I have done the cross stitches just need to do some decoupage on the boxes and then they will be ready for gifts.

Loving all the inspiration and the wonderful makes on here.
