I've made another couple of bags :T, I'm keeping the brown one and my daughter has claimed the pink one, I made them from the suedette fabric and I don't think I'll be doing any from it again it was a nightmare :rotfl:. The other bag has gone to it's new home and I got a txt from the recipient who is over the moon with it :T0

Lovely makes and its great to see your bags are being well received Kinski
Well I had every intention of catching up with Project Life today but I had to clean the carpets of the house we just bought which took ages and I got distracted "playing" with my Owl Punch which arrived late last night. I love it and it's quite quick to make up the owls - plus they look super cute.
So I've made a start on a few bookmarks which I intend to send to the owl sanctuary I visited in Wales so that they can raise some extra funds. I've made 6 so far in the last two hours so I can declare a bit more towards my total
Now 555/2014 items made

Chiefpossession - love the craft room. I recently took over one of our spare rooms for my craft room. It occasionally still has to be a bedroom
so I now have a sofa bed in it, which is great for me for hunting through mags or reading craft books etc.
Like you I can't fit everything in yet. Will I ever? Do I want to?
loopychris, WOW! You are a FAST worker. You are rattling through your lists.
craftingmad, I'm looking forward to seeing your owls and bookmarks.
I finished 3 more Beads of Courage bags and have 3 more almost done (all apart from the cording). I'll leave off posting a picture until they are all done. I'm enjoying making them. Every time I pick out another piece of fabric, it brings back memories of what it was used for originally.

Chiefpossession - I too love your craft room, and like you I can't fit everything into my room either. I have our converted garage for a craft room - proper wooden flooring, proper plastered and painted walls (don't like the colour though <sigh>), downlighter spots in the ceiling ... tons of storage, three big desks, drawers coming out of every space, shelves on the walls, and even a kitchen cabinet on one wall. TV in the corner for 'company' ... and I STILL don't have enough room.
(I do have to share the room with the washing machine and the upright freezer - so I'm blaming those for the lack of space. lol).
I think if you give a crafter some space they'll fill it. Doesn't matter how big it is, a crafter will fill the space and still need more.
Florenceem ... love your cards but I think the little cowboy chap is my favourite. So cute!Florenceem wrote: »
I'm not properly able to craft to any great degree at the moment because I have tendonitis in my right hand, affecting my wrist and all my fingers - (major pain in the index finger & wrist, and can't properly bend the other fingers)- so I'm crafting vicarously via all your posts - and create and craft.
Keep up the great work all - I'm loving everything you're producing!Remember: however thin you slice something, there are always two sides to everything.0 -
Thanks for all your kind comments about my craft space. It is a massive room but I have to share with a drum kit, guitars, spare bed and other bits and pieces. It isn't a good place to sit and work but at least I can see what I have now and feel like it is all being looked after properly. My daughter also has the crafting bug. She took my old sewing machine away to Uni with her last year, but she is studying in America this year so has taken up cross stitch and taught herself to knit to feed the habit instead. She gets back at the end of May so big inroads can be made then.
I only want to use it all so that I can buy more with less guilt!
I didn't make the curtains yesterday - I went to measure up but there is no curtain rail up and I refuse to make them until it is in place. I did make one cushion cover and will try and make the other two for my SIL today. I did get out the extra curtain material I intended to make cushions from for here as well - so I can add 3 more to my challenge.
I need to get out in the garden now though - I will be back at school before you know it and those seeds won't get planted!Stash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0 -
Today's little makes (feeling tired today but am determined to push myself just a little bit) and both makes were made for us but have given me ideas for gifts too - 2 pics attached from facebook
The smaller frame cost less than £2 to make  and I think looks more expensive, so thrilled. The larger frame is not stuck down yet as I'm a couple of letters short, so until its finished I wont add to my signature but will add the smaller frame - yaay
