Hi all, I'm back. Did you miss me? I'm super impressed with all your progress. You are all putting me to shame
Kinski - the glue gun is allowed. Especially as you have a use in mind for it - its when you buy things like I do without knowing why then it's a problem
Love the idea about doing initial pictures using buttons. I've already got a glue gun, buttons and frames so may well copy this for my two kiddos. Glad to hear your daughter's on her way
Ziggy - love the cards and teabagsyou have made a massive amount - well done :T you are not cheating by counting your cards individually I do

Ok confession time from me - hubby actually surprised me and instead of my MIL coming to stay we went to visit her in Wales. He also got us tickets to see Gary Barlow (who after my family and crafting is my most favourite thing in the world - he's gorgeous
) This coupled with the fact that there is a big craft outlet shop near where she lives put me in such a good mood that I sort of bought more crafting goodies
I spent about £80
However I did get lots of things including a dymo label maker (going to be really useful in project life and save me buying anymore stickers - are you liking my justification), 8 clear woodware stamp sets (only £1 a set
), 60 sheets of 12 x 12 patterned paper ( and I thought carefully about which designs I would get the most use out of - plus it was 30 sheets for £3 so I couldn't leave it :rotfl: ), double sided tape, 4 sheets of alphabet stickers, some burlap, felt borders, a couple of small punches, 4 sheets of gorgeous paperchase wrapping paper featuring owls, heart stickers, cassette tape jounelling stickers, 5 rolls of 120m curling ribbon and a few other bits. I also bought an owl punch from stampin up as we always visit an owl sanctuary while in wales (did I tell you how much I love owls? ) ahd tgey don't charge an admission fee so I'm feeling inspired to make some things for them to sell and raise much needed funds
I'm feeling a bit guilty now but I hereby pledge to use all of the above items and not buy anything else until my target is metam I forgiven?

Thanks emslovesmickey xxx
I have been busy making some business cards for my little handmade business. I used up some old business cards, patterned paper and some of the new wrapping paper I purchased whilst in Wales. I made 100 (and I'm going to cheat and count each one towards my total) and they took a while but I'm really pleased with the result. Plus they are something useful and it saved me spending £14 on the same amount being printed which is an added bonus
There are pics on my blog if you would like to see xxx (The keen eyed amongst you will see that it is a new blog I have started - I wanted something where I could start again and follow my business and personal makes all on one blog) x

Loving the business cards Craftingmad, what a brilliant idea. I've got about 250 of them from a previous 'good idea', so might try that idea when I've got some spare time to give away with my free morsbags.
Forenceem, love your stitched cards. My mum makes these and they are always my favourite Christmas card.
Today I have finished piecing the top of the 'practice' quilt, that is now all ready to back and quilt. Have found a home for it - it will be a raffle prize for a friend's Help for Heroes fundraiser in August. Also prepared 7 morsbags handles, ready to sew into bags tomorrow or over the weekend.
Nothing finished yet, I always seem to be in the process of making things! Still I suppose they will all get finished together one day!!!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

I've never heard of morsbags before. I gave them a quick google and what a fantastic idea I'm very tempted to make a few, how do people you don't know react when you hand them one or do you just give them to family and friends. I do have bags that are used every week for my big shop but we don't have many smaller ones and these are perfect.0
