I was really naughty - bought a metre of fabric yesterday. :o
In the past - I would not have just bought one piece of fabric so signs of improvement. I knew exactly what I will make with the fabric as soon as I saw it. I only paid £5 for it.
Also - :o couldn't resist a pad of paper in Work. I do not have much in the way of male backing paper for making cards - see how I can justify a spend. :o

Hello all. Lovely to see all the new makes. I've had a slow couple of weeks as we're in the process of selling our house and buying a new one that all my spare time seems to be made up of filling in firms and making phone calls! Hoping to get some more sewing done again soon as I have 3 bags to make and a camera case...
    Happy crafting everyone!

  • Update time again, have done a little bit this past week and a bit, not as much as I'd like though. Still ploughing my way through the wedding stuff and making some progress there. I've made a few alterations to my list too - daughter has said I don't need to make the bunting as she's seen a wooden one for £4 so will buy that instead. I'm not arguing, it's less for me to have to do, but won't use my stash up - will have to think of some other way to reduce it!

Going to start the painted/decoupaged letters (Mr & Mrs) this weekend, and maybe cut out squares for the dog themed quilt that I need for a raffle in August. The speed I work at I'd better get it started soon or it will never be ready in time!

A little de-cluttering done. Have been mostly confined to bed for nearly 4 weeks now - am managing a little housework (can stand up for about 15 minutes). Found a bag of thin foam sheets - ended up on the landing when little bedroom was being cleared for painting. Sat in bed cutting out different coloured rabbit heads. Added various bits from around the house and took to mum's today. Using old cereal packet card (my good card is in the attic and attic stairs are dis-assembled) I helped the 4yo make a packet of cards to play a pairs matching game - we taught her how to play and she and her mother played with 4 pairs and then 7 (no more room on the board they were using}.

Whilst her mother was collecting the 4yo (end of term assembly in church), the baby played with wool scraps and smooth sticks (originally bought to make toffee apples for the church Christmas Fair but now going to be flower stalks) as I cut out flower petal shapes and flat tulip shapes for cards. Next week the 4yo and I will make flowers (did a prototype today with mum's lodger's teenage daughter) to stick in polystyrene inside a flower pot and cards for grandmas (and maybe great-grandma). There should be enough adults around to play with baby and 4yo (and only one dog for a change as dog 2 will be down south).

    So a little de-stash.

I used to sit bored for most of the day and I longed for something to keep me occupied, me and my big mouth, I now have grandbrats nearly every day and I would love some time to do things I want to do :o. I have two of the horrible things here today, my five year old grandson as his parents are down south at a wedding and my 22 month old granddaughter as her parents are working today, I'm sitting here with peppa pig on the telly for my gdaughter ( I hate that bl***y pig ) and my grandson is on his iPad watching a film :(.
