My Morgan Stanley cash back card was taken over by Goldfish recently and approx 2 weeks ago, I got a letter from them to say the card was now being managed by Barclays!!
Not sure what is going on and whether the card is still a cash back one??
    Anybody know?

Yep!! it is still a cash back card but be warned in June they charge a £20 annual fee. Same cash back from egg money and no annual charge. Best is the 4% interest when in credit which is better than most bank accounts. Can also be used to obtain cash when in credit without charge.

I have a A&L moneyback rewards card that gives 2000 points on the first spend. However I'm yet to receive my first statement (with my £12.00 spend on it) so don't know it's value or usefullness yet.

Anybody else have experience on this card as it seems rarely mentioned?
    Best Regards,

    V

Only if you missed the unprecedented global credit crunch going on :-)

Seriously though you could get all 3 credit reports.
    Will cost about £4.

Hi I know this is a noob question, but I only know Equifax and Experian, who is the 3rd credit source?

    Thanks!

The third credit source is Callcredit

    Hi boobbby,

I just called the morgan stanley plat cc helpline, they said there is no annual fee.

So is this 20 pounds annual fee an insider information (WOW! ), or the CS girl gave me wrong information:mad: ?

    Thanks

    p.s. Thanks Nightwatchman!

I hope we are both talkin about the Cashback card now administered by Barclays Bank

Look on the back of your Morgan Stanley Statement in the Summary Box you will see the annual fee is £20

Shell MasterCard from Citi. 1% of everything and 3% of petrol from Shell garages. Surely that tops Egg?

    Anyone know of a catch?
    Looks good to me!

    Link here.

I was just going to post the exact same thing! Just cancelled my Barclaycard Pish and am awaiting my Amex Platinum (PIN came today), and was looking round for a "backup" cashback card for where AmEx isn't accepted. Noted that Martin recommends egg at 1% on all purchases, but in my book 1% on most purchases and 3% at Shell is better than 1% on everything - especially with petrol the price it is this card makes Shell fuel at least thruppence cheaper per litre, almost certainly making it the cheapest fuel in the area almost every time!

This look like a catch to me:

    " Redeeming your rebate
Is simple, just keep buying Shell fuel in Great Britain each month, and we will automatically credit your Shell MasterCard from Citi account with your accrued rebate up to the value of your Shell fuel purchase - saving you money every time you fill up!"

I don't think that is the catch - as I understand it you get your cashback everytime you fill up at Shell. As noted above, Shell is liable to be the cheapest fuel retailer in the area given the 3% discount offered (it would be true round my way anyway compared to petrolprices) so the cashback would keep coming, and would come without having to wait a whole year too:T

Hi, I hope the same, but in my Morgan Stanley Platnium card statement (25 April), the summary box contains a Fees section which states 'no annual fee'

    I am very confused, hmm....

Capital One are doing their cashback card again. 4% until August, and 1% thereafter.

Thanks YB but I've just closed a CapOne account and believe I have to have the account closed 6/12 months before they'll consider me again.
